Incredibly rude staff. We were pretty much ignored and then treated like a nuisance when finally approached. Save your money.

Excellent American food and some Irish choices, especially corned beef and cabbage; cocktails were very strong in alcohol content; has a dart board and bar with sports on Tabs, dining tables, and gets very busy, as this is a popular place downtown

The current management and Bouncers have ruined the atmosphere of Bushwaller's and it is no longer safe for mature guests to attend and not be targeted and harassed by the bouncer and management for erroneous and convaluted reasons. I was accosted outside if the bar in full view of the bouncers and they proceded to let him gain admittance instead of having him talk to the police.
Highly do not recommend this bar. Staff is extremely rude and disrespectful and security has an ego trip/abuse of power ..they will use violence to remove you from the bar for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Spend your time and money somewhere else where you’re more appreciated. Bushwallers is complete THRASH!! Will be looking to proceed with legal actions forwards bushwallers!! The way me and my friends were treated with violence it’s completely unacceptable. If you don’t want to have your night end getting beaten up by highly ego security and rude staff I highly don’t recommend this place!!! Stay away!! Do not give them your business. All they had to do was have a conversation with us if there were any issues for whatever reason and it would have been addressed, however there was no conversation from the staff or security they chose to use violence against us.

I’ve stopped in at this place maybe a couple times a year for the past few that I’ve lived downtown, usually for a chill night out or to grab late dinner and a pint. But after my visit last night, I can confidently say I will NOT be returning. We came in later in the evening looking for a drink and something to eat, nothing too crazy. The place wasn’t slammed but we decided the bar was probably our best bet to get some food ASAP. Clearly our first mistake. There were TWO people behind what seems like a pretty small bar and both of them acted like pouring us a drink was a personal inconvenience. No greeting? No smile? Just glared at us like we were interrupting their very important standing around time. When the lady finally came over she got our drinks wrong then acted like it was somehow my fault. The other guy wasn’t any better. I might’ve had better luck if I just flagged down a waitress at that point. If you’re going to take 20 minutes to get me a drink the least you can do is smile. We ended up agreeing to just leave quickly (as possible) as it wasn’t even worth the fuss. We were hungry, we were polite, and we were patient. But it’s hard to justify spending hard earned money somewhere that clearly doesn’t want it. If the staff here can’t even pretend to care about basic service we can find 10 more bars in a mile radius that will. If I were a betting man I’d bet that this place will last another year at most. This used to be a solid spot, which is sad. Now it’s just bitter seniles serving up attitude. Literally. Terrible.

What a hidden gem right in the heart of downtown! 🍀 We stopped in during weekday happy hour, and while it wasn’t too busy, the vibe was absolutely perfect. The staff were amazing—super friendly, attentive, and quick to take our order and check in throughout the meal. You could tell they genuinely cared about making sure we had a great experience.
The pub itself is cozy, beautifully decorated, and bursting with Irish charm—there’s even a countdown to St. Paddy’s Day that adds a fun touch! 🇮🇪 We kicked things off with the Irish nachos (HIGHLY recommend!), then I had the bangers and mash (pictured) while my wife went for the chicken pot pie. Both dishes were phenomenal—comfort food perfection.
We saved room for dessert and ended with the bread pudding… WOW. Warm, rich, and the perfect sweet finish. And get this—happy hour beers were only $3.50! 🍺 Incredible value for such quality food and service.
Our only regret? Not finding this place sooner! We’re already planning our next visit to try more of the menu. If you’re looking for authentic Irish fare, great prices, and friendly vibes, this is the spot. Sláinte!
