Dropped by and got the carne asada and chiles rellenos, not a fan. Carne asada didn't have much flavor and the sides were very basic. Chile rellenos were more cheese than protein. Definitely a one time visit place.

My fiancé was telling me of this place a few days ago and decided we’re coming here for lunch. Apparently this place wasn’t just the first but also the longest running taco & tequila restaurant in all of Frederick, and what we ate proves the quality is still standing the test of time.
We ordered the Mexi-Roll appetizer, combining chicken & beef fajitas, and the cream & shrimp enchiladas.
I wished I remembered to take pictures earlier, but everything was nothing short of incredibly delicious and a phenomenal experience.
Thank you for the amazing lunch and can’t wait to return!

Disgusting. Gourmet tacos yeah right. Fish taco tastes like dirt. Fajitas supreme was nasty. The chicken and beef was so dry and so was the shrimp. It taste like it was microwaved cat food. Never coming back. Service was very good.
Came here for the first time tonight. The food was full of flavor, the chips and salsa were delicious! Service was remarkable and the restaurant was very clean. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. We had a wonderful experience and will be coming back soon!

Much better choices for Mexican food in Frederick. Dinner portions were small and the food was below average.

Me and My G.F. ate here this morning 12-8-2025. We were hesitant to see caution yellow tape in the front entrance. Maybe a vehicle hit the entrance column to the front door. The place was empty. Except for the Frederick city inspector inspecting the restaurant space. We were served chips and Salsa. Cold Chips and watered down salsa. My G.F. ordered breakfast tacos. Now I was raised in South Texas I am Tex-Mex. This is not Mexican Food. This is Traders Joe's Frozen Food. I was served refried beans that was so watery that I could sip it through a straw. I called the staff out on it. They brought me another Refried Beans less watery but watery. My G.F. is Vietnamese and her Breakfast Tacos tasted like bad reheated food. I tasted it and told her not too eat anymore. The breakfast tacos had bad or spoiled meat in it. The reviews by Latinos are not good about this restaurant Casa Rico.. The food is Not Rico but No Bueno! I should of been more inclined to the empty restaurant as well as the Frederick City Inspector. Very Very disappointed.

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant. We’ve tried to find another like it, but nothing quite compares. Chips and salsa are great, fried ice cream is delicious!
