Great place to dine. Aarti and Aj are a great couple, have known them for years. Have been going there since they opened.

The butter chicken was very bland along with the rice. Sadly not what I expected when walking in,as it smelled good. Others were served their bread before we got ours, even though we ordered first. Staff was nice, food wasn't good.

The food is always delicious. The only thing I would add is for them to add utensils on takeout orders.

The service was attentive, prompt, and friendly. The food was delicious and not so hot that you couldn't identify the flavor. I have one rule about spicy food: it should not hurt. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Clay Oven Restaurant, our new favorite Indian restaurant in Frederick.

The food is always delicious. We had the Shahi paneer and Aloo gobi with onion kulcha. The takeout was fresh and hot, the paneer was soft and the gravy so flavorful (more of a traditional shahi), and the aloo gobi was deeply spiced, and the mulch’s wonderfully tender and fluffy. They also serve these with an aromatic saffron rice that’s so so good.

Try to come here once a month for the past few years. AJ is awesome and the food has big portions and the best Indian food to exist. I’ve tried other places and can’t eat their Indian food- but I even tolerate spicy for this!

This is easily our favorite restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing & reasonably priced (I get 3 meals out of an entree). The owner is kind & gracious, customer service is always top notch. The space is filled with rich, spicy colors & interesting decor, creating a beautiful experience when dining in. I can’t recommend them enough!
