I’ve never had a bad meal from this place. And the staff is so super friendly every time I go in. My favorite sandwich there is the blackened chicken sandwich, it is absolutely amazing. You don’t get that real thick chicken breast they actually either pound it or cut it in half so it’s much thinner and it’s so much nicer to eat that way and the flavor for the blackened chicken is incredible. Their pizza taste great and my coworker loves their salads. If you haven’t been you need to go they even do a lunch buffet Monday through Friday.
The steak and cheese sub is the best in town!

Delicious food for a great price. The lunch buffet is an unbeatable value. The food is authentic and homemade. The service was great. Family owned.

Great food and great service! We ordered two subs (chicken parm and cheesesteak) and our kids shared a pepperoni pizza. Everything was delicious! Husband is a self proclaimed cheesesteak expert. He said it’s the best in Frederick!!
I called Hero to order the Hawaiian pizza and Ruben sandwich and pick the food up. When I arrived to get food and they gave me only pizza and I said where is my sandwich. They said sorry we are short staff. What a hell !!! I’m disappointed no sandwich!!!.

Was interested to try the buffet but haven’t been so disappointed in a restaurant in a long time. Being charitable, I suppose its possible the made to order food is better. But the buffet robbed me of $24. Very small selection - the pizza was cold and old. Only one cheese pizza available under an insufficient hearing lamp. The other food was lukewarm - just in warming dishes and had sat for who knows how long. Pasta sauce tasted like straight from a jar. Chicken was pale and and lukewarm. Meatballs were tough and unpleasantly unflavored of cheap beef. Overall everything was pretty much gross.
Service was inattentive, and the dining room was cold. Were not given utensils, never got promised bread. Pretty much a miserable experience. Made me jealous of the diners at Roy Rogers across the parking lot.
I beg of you, skip this buffet.

We stopped in for an anniversary lunch as first time diners. My two slices of pizza were good but was served in a takeout box, instead of on a plate, which I thought was odd since we were dining there.
My husband's food, however, was served on a plate. The server offered me a plate as well, but why wasn't it served on one? They might want to change that. It was kinda off putting.
The bathrooms were incredibly clean and smelled amazing!
We both enjoyed our meals and if we get back to the area, would eat there again. 🍕☺️

Worst buffet I've seen. Told me the rubbery pizza was fresh when it was barely warm, drink was 80% ice, service was terrible

Went on a Sunday at night and no bartender. Then went on a Saturday at 1pm, no bartender. Food is good and cheap but everything feels inconsistent.

I couldn’t order a Manhattan. The Martini was unpalatable.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I tried the lunch buffet today. Not only that, I invited my son who returned from college to join me. There was no one else in there, which should have been my first signal to run. The pizza was literally cold and had a grayish tint to it. There is only one type of pizza and it looked like it was there since yesterday. I will not be returning, and I pray that God has mercy on my soul for subjecting another human to that. The only bright spot was that our server was pretty nice. She even asked as we were leaving after I paid the bill if we liked it! I think she was probably searching for that one person would say yes. Sadly, we were not those people.
Seriously, it was less than awful.
Ordered a pretty underwhelming roast beef sub. It was supposed to have a horseradish mayo or something similar, came with a small pack of regular mayo. Not terrible, but certainly not great value. Also thought it would come with fries, but maybe that's my mistake. I'll try the pizza eventually.

Ordered two pizzas. One pepperoni and sausage, other pizza was the same but with mushrooms and artichoke. Pep and sausage only had sausage, and they put anchovies, not artichokes, on the other pizza. Used to be a good place but this is unacceptable.
I've ordered carryout from Hero's probably 4 or 5 times over the past few years, and they've never let me down! The presentation, and taste of the food was a 5 out of 5 every time (I've had their veggie sub, a few different salads, their pizza, and a few of their appetizers). Their staff is always professional and warm-spirited towards the customers (big shoutout to Henry & Malik!!! .... thank you for always giving us/customers great service! It means alot!)
