‼️Attention all long time Frederick residents ‼️Do you remember and miss the old Casa Pizza NY style restaurant downtown? Well! Hero’s is going to be your new favorite pizza spot. I just tried it for the first time and it was delicious! Perfect NY style pizza, or at least dang close to it. The crust and sauce were very consistent with NY style. I kept it simple with a large pepperoni. Very impressed! My go to pizza spot from now on in Frederick 👍

It’s my closest Italian place now that Rocky’s is gone. I tried them 4 yrs ago but got Calamari in my FF’s. Nothing against Calamari.
Came back today. Really wanted an Italian sub with toasted bread. Ok. Ordered. Was not toasted. They couldn’t I was told. Full disclosure they can’t “toast” would have been greatly helpful. Solution put it in the friggin PIZZA OVEN! Do you not do this with pizza?
Craving a reliable restaurant in the neighborhood….I grew up with the previous owner and their dedicated responsibility to community…And delicious food.
Can someone responsible take over? We are a community.
Today 1-24-26. I thought I’d try this place again for a TOASTED bread Italian submarine for take out. Got it home AND again IT WAS NOT TOASTED!!!! All they needed to do it put the bread in the Pizza Oven to toast!!!!!!! They don’t care.

I’ve never had a bad meal from this place. And the staff is so super friendly every time I go in. My favorite sandwich there is the blackened chicken sandwich, it is absolutely amazing. You don’t get that real thick chicken breast they actually either pound it or cut it in half so it’s much thinner and it’s so much nicer to eat that way and the flavor for the blackened chicken is incredible. Their pizza taste great and my coworker loves their salads. If you haven’t been you need to go they even do a lunch buffet Monday through Friday.

Great food and great service! We ordered two subs (chicken parm and cheesesteak) and our kids shared a pepperoni pizza. Everything was delicious! Husband is a self proclaimed cheesesteak expert. He said it’s the best in Frederick!!

I called Hero to order the Hawaiian pizza and Ruben sandwich and pick the food up. When I arrived to get food and they gave me only pizza and I said where is my sandwich. They said sorry we are short staff. What a hell !!! I’m disappointed no sandwich!!!.

Was interested to try the buffet but haven’t been so disappointed in a restaurant in a long time. Being charitable, I suppose its possible the made to order food is better. But the buffet robbed me of $24. Very small selection - the pizza was cold and old. Only one cheese pizza available under an insufficient hearing lamp. The other food was lukewarm - just in warming dishes and had sat for who knows how long. Pasta sauce tasted like straight from a jar. Chicken was pale and and lukewarm. Meatballs were tough and unpleasantly unflavored of cheap beef. Overall everything was pretty much gross.
Service was inattentive, and the dining room was cold. Were not given utensils, never got promised bread. Pretty much a miserable experience. Made me jealous of the diners at Roy Rogers across the parking lot.
I beg of you, skip this buffet.

We stopped in for an anniversary lunch as first time diners. My two slices of pizza were good but was served in a takeout box, instead of on a plate, which I thought was odd since we were dining there.

My husband's food, however, was served on a plate. The server offered me a plate as well, but why wasn't it served on one? They might want to change that. It was kinda off putting.

The bathrooms were incredibly clean and smelled amazing!

We both enjoyed our meals and if we get back to the area, would eat there again. 🍕☺️

Worst buffet I've seen. Told me the rubbery pizza was fresh when it was barely warm, drink was 80% ice, service was terrible
