Fast service, no wait to be seated and delicious cocktails! We ordered a few rounds of drinks, specifically “Cloud 9” and “Last Word”. They were fantastic. We will definitely be back to sample food next time.

It is more like bar with few food options.. I see menu for beer and alcohol was couple of pages whereas food menu was just a page. Also it was not crowded because of Tuesday evening but it felt like they took forever to get our food. Probably we waited close to 40+ minutes to deliver our food.
I tried here fishy fishy and it taste good and had good portion of veggies along with fish. However it is not worth for $40 + tips.

I'm giving it a four because the food is solid but for the price I expect more. Everyone, I talk to raved about this place when I moved here and I finally made it over a couple of times to see what everything was about.
It is a nice vibe with good cocktails and decent overpriced food. There's a time and place that I like to do those things, but I don't see the value in the actual food for the price on most of their menu. Also a lot of the time there's an extensive wait to be seated an indoor seated is pretty limited for a restaurant.

The food was great, especially the Brussels sprouts — super tasty. Service was excellent, Amanda was very friendly and attentive. The burger was good, though I prefer a soft bun like a potato roll over the toasted one. Just a personal preference! Next time I’ll ask for that option. The place is small, but cozy. It doesn’t bother me, but some people might find being so close to others a bit uncomfortable when eating side by side.
My husband and I were disappointed by some of the food in Frederick until we ate at Hootch & Banter. To start the service and atmosphere were sophisticated and top notch. The cocktails are well thought out and very tasty. The food - PERFECT! We had the gnocchi the first night and we loved it so much we canceled our reservations elsewhere the next night so we can go back. I highly suggest the pasta dishes. All of the appetizers were amazing. I am missing it and hope to be back.

The staff generally friendly except the waoter with a Mohawk who is rude/ageist and likely the worst & least friendly restaurant employee i have experienced in my life I was having a friendly conversation with one of my neighbors while walking by & he told me to stop harassing them despite their insisting I wasn't Maybe hootch and banter will muzzle this employee or get his personality + weird haircut fixed Once he is gone..i will raise my review to 4 or 5 starts..the food looks good but the desserts look phenomenal

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for the past 4 years. I’ve only ever experienced exceptional service and great food. I consider myself to be picky when it comes to drinks, and they have always been top-notch. If you’re ever in town and looking for a great atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and tasty food, this is the place.
