Ordered takeout and it was the best Chinese food I’ve had in Frederick

My husband picked up from here and asked for vegetarian egg drop soup with no corn. I ate a lot and then I felt something mushy. It was CHICKEN.
I haven’t had meat accidentally since I was 7- this is going to wreck me physically and emotionally!!
Also gave my husband completely wrong order. Crazy

I’ve had a lot of Chinese food in my life and this by far was the worst. Sesame chicken was dry and flavorless. Tasted like they just poured a diluted pancake syrup over a dry chicken breast. Lo mein was so bland that I just threw it away in one bite. Maybe it was a one time thing but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The food is excellent,, they absolutely use fresh oil to fry the food, which makes a big difference and I can tell. The atmosphere is warm and comforting, the people are polite. The food is made with care, quality ingredients with a taste that can only be achieved by someone who takes pride in the food that they serve. This place needs more publicity, the only problem that I had with this place is that I didn’t find it sooner, in fact I didn’t find it myself, I had someone recommend it to me.

I got the beef and broccoli and texture-wise, I wasn’t a fan of the mock beef as it felt slightly dough-y. Sauce-wise, I was expecting it to be slightly sweeter. That said it was a pretty solid option when you can’t cook and need something filling to eat. Next time I’ll definitely be getting the mock sesame shrimp. I hope someone can let me know whether the sesame shrimp comes with broccoli as well. Lastly, the portion was more than enough to fill me up Updated from previous review on 2025-12-05
luncheon specials are a bargain and delicious. So much food for a great price; Entrée soup, choice of rice and the spring roll. Bonus points for great vegetarian!

Food was pretty good and fresh. Decent lunch prices and portions.
Best Chinese around Frederick! At least speaking as a vegan representative. Their vegetarian chicken is great (I love the Kung Pao, both savory and refreshing!). Staff are kind. ♥️🙏
If you're looking for good chinese-style food, my advice is to avoid this place and keep looking. We could not find a clean table to sit at at, and had to ask staff to clean one off for us. They advertise themselves as being a "dine-in" restaurant, but our order was brought to our table in takeout / delivery containers. The only thing missing was a paper bag with the receipt stapled to it. Nothing was free or complimentary or included with the meal - no tea brought to the table, no water, no nothing. The chicken dishes we ordered were overly sweet, and had little of the flavor or spice level we expected from what we ordered (szechuan and kung pao chicken dishes), The steamed rice tasted stale. The hot & sour soup was OK. The spring roll was actually pretty good, but small. Bottom line: we got something to eat but it was not very good or enjoyable, and we left most of the food we were served uneaten and on the table when we left.

We did not want to relive the bad experience once we got back home.
We get delivery from here and it's great every time. Good food delivered quickly.
