Gone twice within the past 2 months and both times disappointed. Everything in the steam table they serve you from is dry and unappetizing. Never again..

The little container of sauce on the side had mold growing on it.

I'm not sure who's eating this food, but they can't be from Jamaica, or the Caribbean because the food was a major disappointment. The veggie patties were nothing more than bland frozen, or maybe canned mixed veggies put in a dry dough. The curry chicken gravy was pepper and cloves by means of flavour, which i had over bland rice and peas.The beef patties weren't much by way of being flavourful. The saving grace was the chicken soup, which was palpable. It's a pass for me for future trips to Frederick.

Jerk N Jive is the real deal Jamaican food restaurant. This was my second time ordering from there which I had Curry Goat with collard greens and mac & cheese. Also go a order of jerk wings and a piece of coco bread!

Everything was delicious and portions were very big. I highly recommend this place if you are in the Frederick, MD area. The manager Ms. Tanya is great and takes care of you.

BUYER BEWARE! I regularly patronize this restaurant, however they have questionable business practices. I placed an online order that totaled $79.50 which included $33 for a crab cake dinner. When I arrived to pick up my order and was informed that they did not have crab cakes. I then asked for fish since crab cakes were not available. When I requested a refund for the difference between what I received and what I paid for, I was advised by the worker via the manager that they could give me an extra piece of fish. Considering the nearly $15 difference between the dishes, thus is unacceptable. And to not offer refunds when the business is at fault is bad business. In will handle this with my bank, but others BEWARE when placing orders with this establishment online. I certainly will not again. To add insult to injury, I got home and my order was wrong!

Chicken is very dry. They couldn’t even swap the meat out. Bad service. Because the manager wasn’t there I couldn’t get any compensation.

The best food hands down! Did not disappoint! I got the oxtail dinner and I had an orgasm in my mouth.. so yummy and tender! This will be my go to restaurant for Caribbean food ❤️❤️5 stars

Always a pleasant experience with jerk and jive! This place is one of our regular go to options for takeout and we’re always more than satisfied with our food there. I love their pattys (curry chicken is my favorite), their jerk chicken and jerk salmon, rice and peas, Mac and cheese, sweet potatoes….anything you get, you can’t go wrong. Today I went in for a patty, and because I’m pregnant, I got a two for one deal. Great customer service, and they know how to treat regulars. I will -always- be back, thank you! :)

Excellent food we carried out on our way home. Had the oxtails, Jerk wings, and coconut shrimp…tried several different sides and enjoyed them all, especially the callaloo. We will be back for more!

I absolutely love Jerk n Jive and suggest them to everybody. The prices are great for what you get. Hands down the best Jamaican/jerk food I've ever had. I try other Jamaican spots when I'm out of town, and none of them come remotely close.Some of my favorite dishes are:-Braised Steak-Curry Goat-Curry Chicken-Brown Stew Chicken-Jerk Chicken SandwichThey have some new menu items I got my eye on, but I haven't tried yet. They look amazing and I'll be trying them soon.-Rasta Pasta-Marley BurgerThe sides are really really good here. Rice n Peas is a must have for every meal. The cabbage is amazing. Plantains and caloulou are great.Best Mac n cheese I've ever gotten from a restaurant is from here! Hands down the best. I can't even think of a runner up, it's that damn good!!!If you haven't been here yet, do yourself a favor and change that. You won't regret it!
