Kyo Sushi provides a welcome sushi option to the Urbana + Mt. Airy area, serving up an extensive menu with options for all diners. I ordered a sushi-forward meal for carry out, which was ready in about 30min and handed to me as soon as I entered. While I didn't dine in, the staff was welcoming and friendly for the brief minute that was inside.I did find that I needed to order several vegetarian rolls to build a meal given the 6-piece side. he vegetable roll had a great combination of elements for the filling--avocado, cucumber, asparagus and pickled radish. The sushi tasted fresh overall, but comparatively, not the freshest that I've had. The sweet potato roll had a welcome tempura crunch and the sticky sweet topping paired nicely with a dash of soy sauce umami. A side order of edamame completed a solid vegetarian dinner.

The crunchy tuna rolls were not much better than gas station sushi. Disappointed.

Delicious, fresh sushi. Their efficient service and affordable lunch specials make it a great option for weekday lunch.Parking: In the dozen or so times I’ve ordered lunch/takeout from Kyo over the last several years, I’ve always found street parking right out front.

On a rainy day, we went to our local Sushi place and what a surprise! Setting was clean and light. Service was excellent without being intrusive. I was really impressed with the quality of the food we ordered. First, Ocean Roll was superb with wonderful taste and the rice texture was perfect. Bento Box with Chicken Teriyaki was amazing. It was very flavorful and Gyoza that came with the lunch was excellent as well. I had no idea this place served such high quality food. My compliment to the Chef! I hope to return again and try different offerings.

Server did not ask me what kind of water do I want, and the food is nor very good, it is very strange flavor, One of the worst udon noodle soup I have ever have in my life, I try so many restaurants in the world, The owner is definitely not done by Japnese, and it is really awful and wired taste in the soup, the broth is too light no taste, the veggie was wrong, and sushi is was ok, not what We expect from the reviews, we were very disappointed, we came because of the reviews, It is not a true reviews, or the American people in the countryside have not taste the real good Japanese food. It is really off. Luckily there is a new place was much better, still no comparison with the authentic Japnese restaurant in Japan but acceptable. at least their Rama or udon was good.Goya , rockville town center also has good udon noodle soup.Food is very important to us, it is part of life, now I still try to finish the left over from yesterday, cause I do not want to waste the food, but it was so bad I have to recook and add the right touch of my own sauce. Maybe the regular chief is on vacation?it is my first time there, so I am not sure what is this all about. bu the food is just ??????@#$%^&* I am not sure.My kids' face was confused. We fly to Toyota fish market to try the best fatty tuna fish before 2018 , and the kids never forget how tasty the fresh Fatty tuna Sushi and we try almost every single sushi place in DMV area. and no one can beat the fresh fatty tuna fish in Toyota, but at least there is one is pretty close, it is the only Japanese chief restaurant in Maryland. It located in Talbot shopping center, Rockville, Maryland.Yoyogi, at Kentland has cheap and yummy sushi as well, Zen sushi also has ok sushi, and rainbow is fine, there are many sushi are fine, but not confused. When a taste is confused, you know they are not follow receipt, or they have no talent in cooking, or they are not prepare by heart and love. something is really off.
