Good food and margaritas. Service was slow. Great view of the creek walk.

We chose this place as a spontaneous suggestion by my godson. The service and food was surprisingly very good. The wait time for a table was not long. There were plenty of other places to shop and eat within walking distance.

Not sure why reviews are so, so? We had a good experience here... fajitas & Bolivian specials were great. Food delivery was slow, but unlimited chips & salsa made it OK.
I love this place it's a great place to hang out by Carol Creek sip a Margarita and enjoying a nice meal. Love their steak salad. Sean is an amazing server, and always makes sure we have a great time. He always ready with a pitcher of margaritas.
I dont usually leave reviews as I know servers and worker change often and kitchens change their food quality by the cook on shift. But to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. We had a party of 3. Headed to Alive @ Five and decided to eat on the creek for the views. Looked at several restaurants and decided on this one as it advertised Bolivian cuisine. A favorite of mine. We decided to sit on the patio. We were seated promptly. As I looked through the menu there was not one Bolivian dish. When I inquired I was told they are working to add more South American dishes into their menu, but not yet. So as to not make a big deal we just ordered Mexican. The food was ok. Nothing fancy. I could have gotten it anywhere. Nothing that I would rave about for sure. They did charge me a $2 up charge for splitting a meal. Ok..i can under that. What did upset me was our bill. The 3 of us each wanted to pay the bill so my husband grabbed it and slid his credit card in. Another member of our party left a 20% tip in cash. No we didn't look it over and that was our fault. They charged us a 18% SERVIVE FEE for our order. What? So we dont get to decide how much of a tip to leave? Tips are based on service...and while our server was ok..he was not a 38% tip worthy server. Nowhere was it posted that there was a service fee. None of our group will return to this establishment again. It's a shame as it is in a prime location. With false advertising about what they serve, the bland food, the up charge and then the service fee...it was a bad choice our part. Definitely would not recommend. Go to LaPaz instead it's just a few steps away. I would not reccomend to anyone.
This place was a big disappointment. I don't like to leave negative reviews but I feel like I need to. When we first walked in there was no one in sight, not even a customer. We waited at the front desk to be seated but again, no one around. Finally after a few minutes the waiter came up and he looked like he was asleep. He wasn't rude but definitely not friendly. All this could have been overlooked but then after we order our food we start to hear a microwave being used in the kitchen not once but about 10 times. We were the only people in there and it was super quiet so we could hear everything. The food itself was just blah. I do not recommend
I ordered an item with beef and got an item with shrimp. Which seems super problematic. I notified the waiter, and said I just wanted to make sure I was only charged for beef. He confirmed I ordered beef and so the kitchen must've messed it up. They only charged for beef but automatically added 18% gratuity to our group of 4. That's what really did it for me. I wont be back. The food was good but the service not so much. It took forever to get our order taken, and we were ready to go long before we ever got the check. And then we were forced to pay 18% gratuity.
Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu and juice options
In a nutshell, location is nice with outside dining. The food is good, the service is abysmal. We had lunch here and the waiter charged us dinner prices. I questioned this and he said we didn't specify so he gave us the dinner portions. I asked for a price adjustment and he would not do it. I said that a meal at 1:30pm in my book is lunch. So he got no tip. What a terrible restaurant policy.
Grilled Chicken Taco Salad and Beef Enchiladas were amazing but dessert - Mango-nada was best! Shout-out to our server Sean who rocked it despite the busyness of In the Streets!
The view and it's surrounding is... ok/fun. The water we got at the beginning never got refilled. The food... smH. I came with my son and we ordered the yuca and Chicharrón. It looked like they gave us what was left at the bottom of a bag of chips. The Combo Saltado (steak and shrimp sautade in vegggies and sauce) was weak. There was 3 shrimp and the steak bits were tough and only had the flavor of the sausce it came with. They say Mexican and Bolivian inspired foor.....I could have gotten more flavor from Qdoba. This was a miss for me. The service was sub par.

Drinks were good. Service was horrendous. Had to ask multiple times for the appetizer we ordered. Never came to take our dinner order. Never. Asked for the check and that took another 30 minutes.
Good food, great atmosphere. Server and Chef were great
I truly hate giving a one star review but this place deserves it. Saddest part…. We didn’t even get anything there. We first came here like 7 months ago and we showed up they sat us down and absolutely no one came to serve us … for 25 minutes... not even a napkin or water was given to us. We decided to leave . Then today we were like let’s give it another try and we sat at the bar… the bartender made eye contact with us 3 times …. Never came over in 15 to 20 minutes. I truly don’t know if it’s a race thing or not but another biracial couple said they got the same service as us today and it’s actually sad as hell. Either super racist or to be honest the staff just do not care and their service is truly that horrible. Don’t go it’s a waste of time.
Not great, very Americanized Mexican food. I had a chicken chimi and my friend had steak tacos, both were pretty bland. The chimi was a good portion but it looked like they melted a slice of white American cheese on top which was really odd, the chicken inside was breast meat but bland and needed more seasoning. The taco portion was small especially considering they were 13 dollars (6 bucks for a small taco isn't great). I should know better when I see a plastic covered cartoon like menu I should trun and run, my mistake. On the positive side the location is awesome, the restaurant was clean, and it was easy to get a seat (I wonder why....)I live in Frederick and eat out a couple times a week, I don't recommend this place, there are much better options in Frederick
I don't get it. Let's start with a positive. Location is great and sitting out on the creek in downtown Frederick is wonderful on a nice day. The outside seating area is nice with comfortable seating, umbrellas and lighting. Now the reason you go to a restaurant is food and service, BOTH were considerably lacking here. The wait time from order to receiving our meal (Steak Fajitas) was way too long. Over and hour and 15 minutes despite barely anyone seated inside the restaurant. We had to go into the restaurant dining area and inquire about the delay but were met with excuses about kitchen staffing. They did seem empathetic though. Service was sporadic as our server rarely visited our table during that long wait and would take smoke breaks along the creek as the smoke wafted up to our seating area. When the food FINALLY ARRIVED it was completely uninspired and bland. Portion size was small and although it was hot which was nice .... it seemed more attune with food you might find in a mall food court than a nice restaurant. WARNING Despite a party of 2 ... The restaurant charges an 18% SERVICE CHARGE automatically. Ordinarily I tip more and that would not be an issue however after this experience I was put off by not being able to select my own gratuity reflective of the food and service. The 2 stars are for the location. It is more generous than the reviews I discovered on Yelp after we left. I probably should have checked them before.
