Loved this place! Softshell crab special sushi was amazing and my husband enjoyed the grilled pork bowl very much. Lovely interior, intimate feel, excellent service. Affordable.

Disappointed by the Service, but Food Was Good. Visited Lazy Fish recently and while I have to say the food was actually quite nice — fresh and flavorful — the customer service left a lot to be desired. Staff seemed inattentive and unwelcoming, and it felt like we were more of a bother than valued customers. It took ages to get anyone’s attention, and even basic requests were met with attitude. Such a shame, because the kitchen clearly knows what they're doing. If they could match the service to the quality of the food, this place could be great. But as it stands, I won’t be rushing back.

Food was excellent and not outrageously pricey for downtown Frederick. The staff was extremely friendly. We had reservations on First Saturday this past weekend. I had the Lazy Shack roll (AMAZING), the Baltimore roll (a new one for me and it didn't disappoint) and a side of grilled asparagus. Only drawbacks are that it was extremely loud (possibly exaggerated by some young and boisterous talkers at an adjacent table??) and the bathrooms left a bit to be desired--a single one-person restroom each for ladies and men in a common area shared by two busy restaurants is not ideal.

Definitely a big fan of fresh Sushi and Lazy Fish does not disappoint. I've been coming here for years and I finally remembered to do a review.
The atmosphere is calm, it's a smaller / tighter space but the booths are perfect. Service is prompt and polite, and the sushi is fresh. It is a "staple" of sushi in Frederick.

This is my second time coming to this establishment and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The Rib eye Bogosi was amazing, I always love the Tuna Poppers with the eel sauce. The Lazy Ragoon was really good just know that the crab meat is mixed in with the cream cheese. The Walnut Shrimp was good, keep in mind that the Shrimp, the onions, scallops are all fried. The Cheesecake tempura was great!!! Fried slice of cheese cake with oreo crumbles, powdered sugar, blue berries, and a strawberry syrup drizzle. Really good. Pretty sure that I am going to be a regular.

I was excited to try the "best thai in town." If this is Frederick's best, I'll keep driving to Rockville and Germantown. The food was soggy and flavorless. The staff was rude and lied about giving me a free appetizer.
