Manalú Italian Restaurant

Manalu is my favorite Italian restaurant in Frederick. I haven't been there in a while, but it was wonderful and just as I remembered. I owned an Italian restaurant in Baltimore and was born and raised in Little Italy. I've missed it since moving to Frederick 3+ years ago, but Manalu keeps my memories of graet Italian food alive! We loved this restaurant! It was our first time. The service was outstanding. The food was better than expected. We were able to customize our dishes, order the handmade pasta, yummy drinks and it was a 10/10. I was nervous that it was in a strip mall but once we arrived and saw how packed it was, we knew we were in the right place. This place is a HIT!

Finally a REALLY Italian restaurant, and a pizza COME SI DEVE (the way it should be)! Unlike many so-called Italian restaurants out there, especially when it comes to pasta and pizza, this is an authentic place for a culinary trip to Italy outside of a big city in the US. No pizza with pineapple and similar abominations, no spelling mistakes on the menu, and not too many items that need to compromise with the Italian/American palate. Plus, the owner and the staff are super friendly and very professional, as they deliver great food and the whole experience of joy and conviviality which is typical of many Italian restaurants in Italy. Definitely recommend, and definitelly will go back for more!

Service was excellent, food was very good, Thursday evening at 7 PM was very noisy. But I will still go back again.

Dined here after reading about it on Trip Advisor as we were not from the area. What a wonderful recommendation. Food was excellent from salad to dessert. Service was great. Restaurant ambiance also nice. Wish we lived closer.

The food is very good and the service is excellent. However, one room is closed for renovation. So space is really tight and I grow weary of the happy birthday song repeated for so many tables. We were only there for an hour and they sang Happy Birthday four times. My night out for dinner felt like going to Chuckie Cheese — all ambience is lost here.

Our server was knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations. The food came out quickly and tasted amazing. Great value for the price.

We loved it. Everything about the restaurant was first class. Food, service, ambiance. We are just sorry we don't live closer so we could frequent more often. It's a gem!
