Worse crab spot in Frederick Md the quality of the food was horrible the service below average I will never eat here ever again highly recommend Avery’s all you can eat crab legs the only reason we tried this spot was because we was trying to have more go to options the portions were small as heck the fries were old the fried shrimp was old the crabs were dry and half of the crab legs did not have meat in them out 2 out of 4 clusters was bad every time server brought them to our table which wasn’t her fault I blame management and the kitchen for that I rate this place a 1 out of 10

There was hardly anyone outside. They seated me next to the door that led to the trash.
I'm the kind of person who doesn't like to make a stur. The trash aas stinkin while I was trying to eat. Won't go again. I'll go to Avery's. Better food anx atmosphere.
They won't sit you next to the dumpster when the rest of the dining area is aquarter full.

The AYCE crabs were not good. Service was great though. Outdoor seating was nice.

We came to May's Seafood with high hopes, drawn in by the glowing reviews and local buzz. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the hype.
We tried the Soft Shell Sandwich, Lobster Roll, Fish & Chips, and Scallops. The Soft Shell Sandwich was the highlight—crispy and flavorful—but everything else fell short. The fish in the Fish & Chips was thin, dry, and chewy, lacking the flakiness you'd expect. The Lobster Roll was fine, but nothing memorable, especially given the price and reputation. Scallops were forgettable, and overall, the meal felt underwhelming.
We didn’t get a chance to try the ACU, but based on what we did have, we left disappointed. May’s might still be worth a visit for the soft shell, but if you're expecting a standout seafood experience, temper your expectations.

The crab legs were great today. Best I’ve had in long time. Waitress was outstanding.
Had been going to Mays for well over Ten Years.....Went for Dinner Sunday Night Ordered AUCE Crab Legs. The Steamed Clams Were a Watery Salty Mush. The Hush Puppies were just as Salty. The Steamed Shrimp were Rubbery and Cold and The Crab Legs were So Skimpy and Cooked up! Save Yourself the Time Hassle and Money. Go Elsewhere l, As I will be doing !!
Great atmosphere — a very local place, not touristy at all. I recommend sitting in the open-air area of the restaurant because it has a beachy vibe. The staff is amazing, and the service is excellent. There’s background music, and I suggest going on Thursdays and Mondays when they offer special options at half price.
