We had a great time! Mayta's new location, right up the sidewalk from the old one, is beautiful. The food was amazing, with nice presentation, and wait time was reasonable. Our server was Jasmyn, and she was A #1! Two thumbs up!

Stopped in for lunch after a long day of moving and we were HUNGRY. Lucky for us, the servings they give you at Mayta's Peruvian Cuisine are more than big enough to eat your fill and take some home for later. Group of 4 of us strolled in and were seated right away. Started off with orders of the Fried Calamari and Crispy Steak Empanadas. Both were delicious. Calamari was fried well - not chewy and gross but just the right bite. And perfectly seasoned. The menu says it served with a home made tomato sauce but it was definitely just marinara - no harm, no foul though- they also provided a trio of sauces that were perfectly fine for dipping into. The empanadas were crispy on the outside and full of tender seasoned meat. Definitely recommend either of these apps to share. As far as entrees went, we got a 1/2 chicken plate, steak kabobs, chicken kabobs (each with various sides), and a Lomo Saltado. Everything was pretty tasty - the Lomo Saltado had plenty of tender beef, tomatoes, onions, crispy french fries and was served with a side of white rice. My only recommendation would be to add a bit of salt - it was a bit bland when first delivered to the table but a small punch of salt really did the trick. Steak and chicken kabobs were both nicely portioned and the meat was tender and juicy. 1/2 chicken was also good - crisp skin with juicy tender chicken underneath. As far as sides are concerned - fried Peruvian rice side is outstanding. Yuca fries were also crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and salted well. Seasonal vegetable side was definitely a frozen medley they added pearl onions and canned mushrooms to so would skip that if I returned. White rice was also fluffy and good.

I was pleasantly surprised. I'd definitely come back, if I am in the area again. Everything was a delight to the eyes as well as my palette.

Best Peruvian food in town! Super clean, upbeat and fun. The staff are all super attentive and kind and the food comes out really fast!

Wow, wow, wow! I can't say enough about Mayta's Peruvian Cuisine on Rt. 85 in Frederick! From the second we walked into this lovely little establishment we knew it would be good. The decor is delightful. The staff are warm and welcoming and now... THE FOOD! I got the 1/2 dark meat chicken meal. Absolutely some of the best Peruvian Rotisserie chicken I've ever had. The owner Jorge, made sure our meal was cooked to perfection. He even came back out to our table to ask how we liked it. Melvin, our waiter was so kind and attentive as well. This place is top notch. I will be back, over and over and over again!

Passing through the area and this gem is near the hotel and so glad we gave it a try. Delicious food and service. I had Ceviche and hubby Peruvian-chicken with the most unique salad. Would definitely stop by again

This place is not good at all. The price to amount food ratio is not good and quality to price of food is poor. Paid 18 dollars and got a chicken tender that's was smashed into paper and served to me. I have no clue how this place has an okay rating on yelp.

5 STARS! The Wok- Tallarin Saltado and chose the steak. It was everything i didn't know i want. I went on a limb and ordered a random plate i've never tried for my second time there. It was amazing the sauce it came; pasta cooked al dente and went well with the dark sauce. The steak was a perfect size and bite. I could have slurped the plate up if i wasn't in public that's how it good it was! I couldn't stop talking about it to my boyfriend. He loved his dish as well; the steak was well marinated. He took some home and you better believe i had to get a few bites of that arroz chaufa. Definitely needs the attention it deserves for this family owned delicious peruvian food!

New to the area and was hard to find really good Spanish restaurant in this area. This place is great and will be my new spot from now on.

We have eaten here several times, but lately the quality has really gone downhill. We spent over $160 on an appetizer, 2 entrees, a pisco sour and some beers to go. First of all, the service is slow, though staff is friendly. The food is not as authentic as it used to be. The aji de gallina had more turmeric than yellow pepper- it looked like the real thing but didn't taste like it. The rice was undercooked. I don't know how a restaurant, especially a Peruvian restaurant, messes up rice!! The pisco sour didn't have enough pisco- you should feel a little buzz after one, and I'm a lightweight but felt nada. I know food prices have gone up this year but it's just not worth what you pay for. The saving grace is their craft beer. If you want more authentic Peruvian food go to Barra Brava in Gaithersburg.

Bad. They want to grow and throw taste out the window when their business is about taste. Everything taste like they just bought it from a manufatcurer. Empanadas taste like metal, pollo saltado taste the same. What happen? It just sucks. I used to buy every week before they moved and now its ywice the price for half the flavor. You got me at flavor.
