Did a tasting at the distillery. Was a great experience and bought some gin of our own. It’s great that they are locally sourced and organic. Highly recommend
Very educational tour of the actual distilling operation and an impressive collection of spirits. Their gin selection is nice, with the floral gin being very impressive!
Such an amazing experience full of laughs, good liquor & great ambience. Came there earlier in the week for a work outing and needless to say ALL OF US said we would be back before the tasting was even over.
The staff that included 2 pups were so friendly & accommodating.
I loved the knowledge & passion they pour into their business & every bottle. Never knew Maryland was known for whiskey until going there. I loved that there are about clean ingredients from farm to bottle, using rare techniques with stone grinders even building up the equipment themselves. In a world that offers so many short cuts or other cheaper avenues just for the sake of a buck that they are not cutting corners. They are helping local farmers stay in business & are eco friendly doing many things to keep their products & business in a eco clean manner. I will be visiting soon and can’t wait until I return. Already have 2 visits planned for the next month. Thank you all for making the experience fantastic and actually caring about your guest, your products, the farmers, your staff, and the environment, these things go far & mean a lot for the guest experience.
The tour was packed with great info. The tasting was lots of fun with generous pours and we came away knowing so much more about distilling in general as well as how McClintock makes theirs special and so tasty. Highly recommend the tour plus tasting, and to start here before going to any other distilleries in town. We are definitely going back.
Great experience!!!! Go to the tasting room first, taste the bourbons, gins, vodka and liqueurs. You’!! Be amazed! Then go next door to their cocktail room! Speakeasy kind of vibes… and great drinks! One of the best places in Frederick - if not the best!
The entire place is spotless and very well decorated. The art on the wall behind the bar is FABULOUS. The tour was very informative and the tastes were generous. Don't miss the opportuninty to support this organic, green business!
We went in for a tasting and had a great experience. Toni was knowledgeable, professional, and full of fun personality- the perfect combination! We look forward to going back again soon!
We have been here twice. Once sometime last fall or winter and most recently on a Saturday afternoon in August. The first time we were here we visited the building towards the back and they were out of whatever spirit was in the drinks we wanted so we had gone to the tasting room in the bigger looking building and just did a tasting there.
This time we came down to Frederick for a summer event and as they had live music here and were doing crush specials so we stopped for a bit to check it out. The line for crushes was somewhat long but they were cranking them out. It was a pretty hot day and there were a lot of people here. The musician was good. The crushes were good. We don’t stick around too long, we had the drinks then split to see the rest of the event going on out in Carrol Creek park.
We would probably come back again.
We went there for the first time and did the tasting. They let you taste all the liquor they have to offer for only $5 a person. Alex was our guide and he was informative and friendly. These liquors are strong! The distillery side is very nice and you can see where they make it. We need went to their speakeasy side which is nice. The spot is small and the outdoor space is also small. Both have a nice aesthetic. Staff of friendly. We unfortunately didn't like the taste of the cocktails we got but that's just us. Otherwise it's a nice place and might be something for someone.
Did the Tour and Tasting and had a blast. The host was very informative and entertaining. The tasting was great and generous amount. Fun to try all the different drinks and understand how they are made. Went as a group and even the ones who weren’t big bourbon or rye drinkers enjoyed it.

A wonderful experience. This is my second trip to this great distillery. Worth the cross country trip from AZ.
If you are even remotely interested in the distilling process you should totally check out the Distilling 101 class offered. The entire day long experience is incredible. Learning from talented people who are doing exactly what they are meant to do is really special. Consider gifting this experience to someone as well!
The best and absolutely love the Ryder Dog!!
So glad we saw the sign board outside of McClintock's tasting room and decided to stop in. They only had one server, Todd, and he was serving another table but he acknowledged us and then started effectively alternating between both groups. Todd was knowledgeable about each of the spirits, the distilling process for each, and the taste profile. He was so personable and each of the spirits were excellent, we ended up buying a couple bottles, so the tasting was free. Stop in and enjoy!
They posted an ad that said, free pork roast and free sandwiches while supplies last. I stood in line for 20 minutes when I got up to the place where they give you the sandwiches. I told them I needed to and then they said do you have a ticket? Nowhere on The add.
Idn't say you had to buy something before. You could get a free sandwich at false advertisement to get people into your store.Very I'm professional.Don't say something free when it's not zero star review
