Monocacy Crossing Restaurant

We used to frequent this restaurant often when we lived in Frederick. We returned for my 70th birthday dinner. As usual, Rich did an outstanding job, not only with our meals but also with meals designed for our vegan/vegetarian children. Trish, our server , was also excellent. Just sorry that we didn’t get to see Kelly. You must go to this restaurant!! Pam Keipper

Once again they attempted to seat us in the passageway, but were very accommodating when we refused. Our server Page was perfect and professional without being intrusive. The Rockfish special was delicious as was the burger. The noise level does get intense as the small dining area fills. That said we thoroughly enjoyed the evening and will return

I ordered the Crispy Pork Schnitzel With Truffle Mushroom Cream, Red Skin Shallot Mashed Potatoes . It was by far the best meal I have eaten out in 2025. The food, and service was exceptional. I will be back for my new favorite meal! Thank you!

Steak was a perfect 'well-done', which is difficult, and the waitress was incredible. She remembered which wine I get and brought it without me asking for it! She's cheerful and attentive.

Warm, welcoming atmosphere with an outstanding staff, food and drink. A busy place with an unassuming ambiance and a friendly crowd that seemed to include a lot of regulars. Overall, a totally delightful experience. Loved it !

A little out of the way, but worth it. Great atmosphere, staff and food. I had the Wild Mushroom Ragout on Polenta, it was delicious. Took cheesecake to go.

Food is always delicious at Monacacy Crossing! We tried 3 appetizers: sourdough pretzel twists, deviled eggs with crab topping and duck nachos. All were outstanding. Service was also exceptional!

The new menu item, mushroom ragout with creamy polenta and crispy kale, is a winner. Please keep this on the menu!

Great looking menu, but everything we tried except for pretzels was below average. The place is clean but in need for a major update; it looks like an old glory establishment. The service is superb.

As always we enjoy coming to a place we know we will enjoy and have good drinks, service, food and a relaxing time. Brought another couple to experience Monocacy Crossing as well and they did!

Food was delicious as usual, service was great as well. Unfortunately, it was a bit off putting to be told we had to order our apps and dinner all at once because it was so busy. I operated many high volume restaurants and it puzzled me to be told that. But it was still outstanding!

Staff is always amazing. Food is fantastic and reasonably priced. You can always count on Monocacy crossing to be a great dinner with excellent service!!

We celebrated our anniversary at Monocacy Crossing. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Service felt attentive without being intrusive. The ambiance was cozy and inviting. They even gave us a complimentary dessert to celebrate our special occasion. Highly Recommend!
