We had a somewhat awkward experience with a very loud table next to us and uneven timing and service from multiple servers. We'll go back at a less busy time.
My girls and their friend had their Prom dinner here while I went and had a dinner up at the bar. All of us loved our food...it was so good and got two thumbs up from all. I would say about the only down side at all is they were a little hemmed in and it was pretty loud but that was just because it was a friday night and they were absolutely packed but with food like that and great service, it's no wonder why.
Just love this place. And the outdoor patio was wonderful when we went for lunch with a friend. Highly recommend.
I've been to Monocacy Crossing several times and each has been excellent. The bar area is nice and inviting. They pour larger martinis than anyone. Service—from the front of the house, the bar, to the tables—is first rate. The menu is vast and well executed. Even for a weeknight the energy is buzzing. Comfy seating. Outdoor dining looks inviting. A top Frederick area eatery. We started with spicy pickled veggies, delicious. I had a grilled Caesar salad with grilled salmon. Very good. My mom had the hangar steak with a small side salad and mashed potatoes, which she enjoyed. Overall, a solid A.
We were seated in a corner next to a group that was EXTREMELY loud. It made it very hard to hear our companions. Then around the corner, an infant was screaming. While all should be welcome, it seems people aren't aware anymore of others around them 🤔
I like the new spring '25 menu. There are a lot of little this's and that's that pair well with cocktails. I can't remember the last time I saw steak tartare on a menu. It's wonderful to have the patio open again.
The hush puppies are to die for! Everything we ate was delicious & staff friendly.
Celebrating by brothers birthday and got Laura as our server who was exemplary, and the food was awesome for all 4 entirely different entrees. Great experience, thank you MC.
one of our favorites and has been since opening. Great cocktails, apps, meals and desserts. we like eating at the bar or dining room. glad to have them in our community.
Great food and service how ever we were seat in an area next to very loud patrons Made for a very poor evening when our party had to almost yell at each other while listening to conversations we didn't want to hear

Our group had a lovely dinner at Monocacy Crossing. The place is charming and welcoming. Our server was engaging and helpful in navigating the menu. The food was overall very good, but the only reason I gave 4 stars is because both dishes I had were too salty. Dessert was excellent and we plan to come back.
Our day was excellent at Monocacy Crossing in celebration of our dear friend's 80th birthday. . Connor, our server was very friendly, attentive, efficient, & had our food out in a timely manner. He came by numerous times to check on our meal & how we were doing. The food was delicious; 2 of us had the quiche & 1 had a salad with meat. The desserts were scrumptious & rounded out our delicious meal. We had 1 Cannoli Cheesecake, 1 Strawberry Swirl Cake, 1 Ice Cream in Pastry Shell (free birthday dessert), & 1 Cocoanut Cake to go. We enjoyed the outdoor seating on this picture perfect day. The hostess led us to a table that she said was designated for us, as it had a birthday greeting card for our birthday friend from Monocacy Crossing. However, when we asked to sit at a table in the shade, the hostess said that all those tables were reserved. We noticed that nobody came to sit at any of those tables until almost an hour later. At that time when several couples arrived and sat at those tables, there still was a vacant table. We would appreciate sitting at a preferred, unoccupied table that was in the shade. Other than the seating situation, we had a most enjoyable lunch in celebration of our friend's 80th birthday! We look forward to future meals at Monocacy Crossing!
This place has been one of our top favorites in Frederick county. We have been here several times, with a bunch of friends, large works group dinner & myself & my wife a date night & MC never ceases to disappoint. This time we went to celebrate as a party of 9 for birthday celebrations. I requested server, Josie, who is phenomenal with the knowledge of drinks & food items, on top of that, her sense of humor is impeccable. Past experiences have been great with her. Manager, Becca, was gracious enough to acknowledge my request.
We were immediately seated on the patio as our reservation said.
Drinks: I like full body dry cabs. You cannot go wrong with any of their Cabernet bottles. Love Arrowhead.
Appetizers: Tuna tarter, Duck Nachos, Devilled eggs, Goat cheese fritters, Scallops. All of them were superb.
Most of us ordered the fish special (Kaffaeti on a dough flash fry & baked)….just yum.
Guys, it’s not only just the flavorful food takes us back to this place but the service, ambience & welcoming their guests with open arms kinda philosophy is just out of this world. Highly recommended must try if live in Frederick county or passing by 270.

The atmosphere of this restaurant comes from its previous life as a large house. The food is very good and the service is great. Definitely a one of a kind place to visit.

We have been here multiple times, but this time was our least favorite. The service was just okay and when we were paying our bill, the waitress was watching us over our shoulders, which was uncomfortable. It took a pretty long time to get our drinks and our entrees. Speaking of entrees, I ordered the beef cheek special. I love beef cheeks, but this was over cooked and 85% of it was fat. I took a few bites and was disappointed and stopped eating.
