We were looking forward to trying this new restaurant in Hagerstown last night with our friends and it did not disappoint! As vegetarians, we enjoyed many different options, all wonderfully flavored, but not overdone with spices. There are meat options too. I will be recommending Motherland Kitchen and Spices to others!
I got the Ox Tail Stew it was amazing food and delicious!! Hagerstown Location it's On Point good Service and Food

The new location in downtown Hagerstown was a great experience. Went in with a couple friends and ordered a few things family style. Everything by was delicious. Will definitely be back for the chicken peanut butter stew and the Kathi Kathi chicken!

The food is unbelievably good, with dishes like beef pie, beef stew, and peanut butter chicken stew with both corn and yam fufu. The women make guests feel like family, and the food makes everyone feel at home. The chicken peanut butter stew is creamy, aromatic, rich, and full of umami flavor. For vegans, the restaurant offers plenty of options— the owner even teaches African Vegan cuisine.
