Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

Got a one star because they charged me for “table games” that didn’t work. When the company is that cheap with their experience, they get one star.

We were seated beside the kitchen/service area in the very back of the restaurant. After walking through a pretty full and warm dining room, our are was cold and very loud. Our server was great! Food was extremely fast coming out, just put salad on our plates and the entrees were served. Not kidding. It was under 5 minutes. I didn't have my straw in my water or napkin in my lap! Other than too fast food service, it was a nice dinner.

The store was closed. No advance notice, no explanation. I hope to update this review at a later date as i generally love OG food. I drove 35 min. to get here, so very disappointed.

A Dip in Quality: A Disappointing Olive Garden Experience
Our recent visit to Olive Garden left us feeling underwhelmed and uncertain about returning, despite it once being a reliable favorite.
To start, the service was unfortunately quite basic, providing only the minimum necessary attention without any notable warmth or efficiency. However, the signature salad was, as per usual, good—a dependable highlight of the meal.
The primary issues lay with the quality of the cooked food, beginning with the appetizer. We ordered the spinach dip, which used to be a go-to favorite of ours. Regrettably, it severely lacked flavor this time around. It tasted under-seasoned and lacked the rich, satisfying zest we remembered.
The entrées were also major letdowns. My husband ordered the Chicken Fettuccine, but the sauce was exceptionally thick and heavy, making the dish overly rich and ultimately unappetizing. It was so saucy and thick that it was not edible or enjoyable. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi, but the quality of the shrimp itself was poor. I did not eat the shrimp, indicating a serious issue with freshness or preparation.
Considering this experience—where the spinach dip, chicken entrée, and my shrimp were all sub-par—we are not too sure about moving forward with Olive Garden as a regular choice. We hope this was an isolated incident, but the pervasive lack of quality across multiple dishes was very concerning.

We went to Olive Garden for the Never Ending Pasta Bowls, and it ended up being a really good experience. The service was great—our server was friendly, fast, and kept our drinks and breadsticks coming without us even needing to ask. For being a holiday, the wait wasn’t bad at all, and once we were seated, it was surprisingly quiet and comfortable for how busy it was.

The food itself was good, though a little on the bland side. Nothing was bad, just not super flavorful. Still, for the price, it was definitely worth it. The pasta was cooked well, the sauces were decent, and the salad and breadsticks were just as good as always. Overall, the atmosphere was calm, the staff was attentive, and it was a solid lunch for a busy day. I’d go back again, especially for the value and service.

There's an option to create your own pasta if you don't want to have something from their menu, so I order rigatoni pasta with mushroom sauce and broccoli topped with grilled chicken. So delicious 😋
