Paris Baguette is one of my favorite spots to grab a coffee and a quick bite. Their pastries are super fresh (the croissants are amazing) and the cakes are always light and not too sweet, which I love. The staff is friendly and the place is clean and cozy—perfect if you want to sit for a bit or just pick something up to go. Definitely a go-to bakery café for me.

I wanted to love the pumpkin pie sweet cream cold brew but after taking one sip it wasn’t even drinkable. Very disappointing.

I’m really rooting for this bakery because Frederick definitely needs a spot like this! But I have to be honest—there are a few things that need some work. A lot of the items were already sold out pretty early in the day, which was a little disappointing since it’s only their first week and you’d expect them to plan for the big crowds. I also had to wait about 20–25 minutes just for a coffee, and when it finally came out, it wasn’t the same quality I’ve had at their other locations.

On top of that, the staff seemed a bit lost and not very eager to help, which made the experience less enjoyable. Hopefully that’s just the “new opening” chaos and they’ll get into the flow soon.

All that said, I really hope they can turn it around quickly, because if they do, this bakery could become such a great addition to Frederick!

We wanted to try this place as it was the new place right next door and boy were we disappointed. We spent almost $30 for a couple of small sandwiches, a small chocolate milk, and a bottle water. This meal should not have been more than maybe $15 or $20 max. Not only was it expensive, but they didn’t have two of the things we went for, and the sandwich I did get, turkey avocado, came with no turkey at all. Literally just two slices of bread and veggies. My wife and I were so excited to try it and what a let down it turned out to be. People were rude, the staff seemed dismissive, just not a very welcoming place. We won’t be going back.

$5.99 for a croissant...

Incredible facility, huge variety of delicious pastries, sandwiches and coffee. Feels like a rebranding of the Korean bakery on market street, very similar.....the have a bean bun too. Hmmm. But the prices.....$5.99 for a croissant is just bonkers. The large cakes are better value at $40-50. I'll probably only go back for an emergency party cake.

I know this is a new opening; but is a franchise
Walked in, clean, busy, and pastries very inviting.
We got in what we thought was the line and waited 10 minutes. Then, a very lovely costumer walked up and told us you have to go get your pastries- it’s self serve and then get in a different line.
Ok, I’m not one for self serve not liking just anyone able to touch the food; but okay.
Got our pasties and then got in the correct line.
Up at register we tried to order a coffee and the employee was not aware and wasn’t real up on the coffee menu. Finally what I think was a manger or trainer walked up and assisted her. Ok great. No worries we are all new at jobs once in awhile.
Took our name and said it would be called out.
Grabbed a seat and waited - waited
- waited. Yes it’s busy- but at 15 minutes we asked. Was told they are behind. Ok no worries. At 30 minutes we asked again- and were told ‘oh we called that out and someone else took it.’ Huh?
You let someone take coffee paid for?
Hmmmmm, that’s not cool.
Sat back down and see a lady and a small child walk in, go to pastries and take a whole bunch of pasties and walk out.

Waited another 10 minutes just to get the wrong order but at this point we took it and left.
I would highly suggest an employee at entrance guiding customers at least until the customers are acclimated to the system. And to keep an eye on your food

Probably won’t go back but the pastries were good and wishing the best for success.

When the bakery first opened, the selection and pastries were fresh and amazing! This morning, 50% of the cases were empty, the employees were standing around talking instead of filling the empty cases, and the donuts were not fresh and were oily. For the price, I expect better.

I was excited to try a new place, but left less than whelmed. The basket did know where everything I was looking for was which was nice. However going to pay made me feel like I was at a Starbucks. My friend had to repeat her order twice because the cashier wasn't paying attention. My breakfast sandwich was burnt after being heated up.

We left disappointed and walked down the street to Gwenies pastries and had a much better experience with much better drinks and sweets.

Went to takeaway breakfast. I brought my patience because I knew it just opened and would be busy. The set up with self serve pantries and then a line to order drinks and hot sandwiches made things move quickly. I read someone say the sandwiches would be better hot.. they are pre-made for the day but they do get heated when you checkout. Everything was delicious! The only constructive criticism I could offer is maybe having an additional person making drinks that seemed to take the longest but worth the wait.

Paris Baguette – First Visit in Years

Growing up in South Korea, Paris Baguette was one of the most popular bakeries, and I have many fond memories of their pastries. Since moving to the States, I hadn’t had the chance to enjoy it again until today, when I discovered a brand-new location nearby.

The store itself is beautiful, modern, and very clean. The staff at the counter were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The pastry selection was impressive, though I did notice that it leaned more toward Western-style options. Personally, I missed seeing the variety of individually packaged Korean buns with unique flavors that I remember from my childhood.

Another observation: some hot items, like the sausage croissant or ham-and-cheese croissant sandwiches, were kept in a cold display case. These types of pastries would taste much better if served warm from a hot case instead.

The only downside to my visit was the atmosphere created by one of the managers. While I didn’t have any direct interaction with him, his demeanor felt stern and unapproachable. He walked back and forth with a serious, almost angry expression, which created an uncomfortable vibe early in the morning. It would have been much more inviting to see management displaying the same warmth and friendliness as the staff.

Overall, I’m happy Paris Baguette is now in town, and I’ll definitely come back for the nostalgia and the fresh pastries. With a few adjustments—like offering more of the classic Korean-style buns and keeping hot items warm—plus a friendlier presence from management, this location could feel truly perfect.
