Really disappointed. The website boldly advertises “authentic Chinese cuisine” and even promotes a chef’s special Peking duck — the whole reason I was interested. Yet it’s not on the menu, and when I called, they admitted they don’t even offer it.
What makes it worse? The restaurant is literally called Peking Gourmet, and they don’t even serve Peking duck. That’s not just disappointing — it’s misleading.
Don’t market authenticity if you can’t back it up. It feels like another place claiming tradition while mainly pushing the same Americanized staples like orange chicken and bang bang dishes. If that’s your focus, fine — just be honest about it.I

I know that the restaurant gets busy, especially on Christmas eve, but to be told my food would be ready in 10 minutes only for me to wait over an hour and a half for it!? I dont like being lied to.

Been to many Chinese Restaurants.
The food was excellent. Hunan chicken all white meat fresh green broccoli carrot slices and I could tell fresh mushrooms sauce was spicy and full of flavor. Served piping hot with nice firm white rice enough for 2 meals price very reasonable. Service was attentive and friendly.

Okay, everyone, I know the changing of owners is the big controversy here, but as a customer of Peking Gourmet for many, many years, I have to say it........the Kung pao chicken and general tsaos shrimp were phenomenal!!! They were just better, there I said it. The crisp on the proteins is to die for and the sauces are rich and delicious!! I will say the dumplings were not my favorite, a bit heavy on the ginger, so a bit perfumey, but husband said they were luscious. I thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp spring rolls, they were a nice size with a lovely crisp wrap and inside was yummy. The original owners were so kind and welcoming, and I do miss them, but we had a very sweet, attentive waitress, and quite honestly, I am there for the food, not the company. Nice atmosphere, and the prices are still affordable. So, two very big thumbs up 👍 👍 I highly recommend for a lovely date night or a fun family celebration!!
I wish they would have a lunch menu on doordash. I can't justify a $43 lunch on two meals.

Beef with mushrooms was So Good and a big portion. The sauce was flavorful, the beef was tender and the mushrooms... The Mushrooms...
Don't hesitate, go and try it.
This restaurant was impeccably clean...both dining area and restrooms. Just ordered basic chicken fried rice and vegetable fried rice, and both were likely the best fried rice we've ever had...it was fresh, tasty and well prepared. It was so good that we wish we would have also tried other main dishes. We will stop again the next time we ride by there on our way to DC.

The customer service was very polite. The restaurant was also very clean and well kept. I got my food pretty quick too- food was delicious and right out the pan lol
I think the owner or someone who works there has a little daughter. She was super cute too🥰
Been going here since I was a kid, unfortunately new ownership appears to be cutting corners with their more expensive meals. Made a pretty big order tonight and was underwhelmed generally but was very upset by the Mongolian beef. It was entirely onion with only a few pieces of beef, it could have been decent based on the sauces flavoring but instead was quite disgusting . After separating the giant pile of onion, approximately two onions worth (it filled the entire container after removing the beef) I wasn’t even able to make a full serving with the beef. adding photos in the comments
Wow! What a pleasant surprise! We came here periodically in the past but hadn’t been back in quite awhile. Now thehe whole place has been spruced up. Nw upholstery on booths, new chairs, new wall decor. The food was wonderful. Best wonton soup I’ve ever had. Mooshi pork was good and plentiful. My husband really enjoyed his chicken curry. We’ll be back
Absolutely delicious!! I can't tell you how many chinese takeout places i had to go thru before finding this place. This was my first time there and I can't wait to try their other dishes.
