This steakhouse tucked away to the side. I went on a date here and the customer service was excellent I cant remember the gentleman's name but he sure did take care of us. I am not sure if he knew I was on a date or could tell I was nervous but the waiter sure made me feel comfortable. I ordered the crab cake meal it was good. Coldslaw wasn't. But the atmospher and the others who were in their dinning and enjoying themselves. I will return and try another dish. The menu looks great. Thank you RHR!

I ordered the prime rib taste was ok but it was tough. Overpriced! I had a Crown and coke overpriced also . Don’t mind spending money for good food but it was ok at best. I have had alot of better prime rib. Will not be going back

If you are looking for a restaurant with local flavor, and classic steakhouse cuts, this is your place. Seafood options are abundant, as well as well executed appetizers and drink service. I had the French dip sandwich with a caeser salad. Very large portion, with a beefy au guis. I was very surprised by the execution and flavor of this sandwich and I highly recommend. The salad was also great. Well dressed and fresh. Others in my party had the Tuscan Surf & Turf, and they were well pleased. Steaks were extremely tender, and they were cooked to my table’s liking. Visited on a Thursday night and there was almost no one there. Worth checking out, especially with quick seating and informative service.

After driving by the restaurant for most of my life and seeing posts on a Frederick foodie Facebook page, my husband and I decided to try this place for our first anniversary. I'm so glad we did. Our server Celeste was the sweetest. We loved that the happy hour specials are all day on Sunday. In fact this prompted us to get 2 appetizers. I didn't love the spinach dip and at the end of the meal Celeste comped it for us. The martini menu is AMAZING! I highly recommend the Almond one. My steak was flavorful and humongous and my lobster tail was also large and delicious. My husband's stuffed shrimp and French onion soup didn't disappoint either. We will definitely be throwing The Red Horse into our date night rotation. Thank you for a lovely evening!

We were in Frederick for a bit and stumbled across Red Horse. We decided to try it out and my oh my! The T-bone steak was perfectly cooked along with my sides of mashed potatoes and french fries. We had the pleasure of being served by Celeste. She was very helpful and always attentive. Do yourself a favor and go to Red Horse! My next go to will be the 32oz bone in ribeye. Can’t wait!

All I have to say is this place is a HIDDEN GEM. My husband and I ate here last night as a last minute dinner for our anniversary. We wanted something more romantic and upscale but not a new, modern restaurant. The decor was adorable and very cozy. Our waitress (I forget her name) was extremely warm, welcoming and attentive. The calamari was some of the best we have had in a long time. And OH MY LAWD the steak was SO beyond tender and delicious. DO NOT OVERLOOK THIS PLACE. It was amazing and we will be back!!

Our waitress Rebecca was amazing! Greeted us with a smile, was very attentive, kept our drinks filled and made sure everything was just right. My wife had a Carmel Apple-tini at her suggestion and I had an Old Fashioned. Both drinks were just right. My wife had the Stuffed Haddock with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. All of it was cooked to perfection ? I got a Sirloin steak, Cesar salad and Garlic mashed potatoes. It was well seasoned and cooked just right. Then I had chocolate peanut butter pie for dessert ?!!! Our awesome waitress even heard when my wife called me"Birthday Boy" and brought out my dessert with a lit candle! So thoughtful!! I definitely recommend this as a must try if you are in Frederick!!
