The quality of service and ice cream is very inconsistent. Some days the staff is friendly, sharp, and attentive. Sometimes they are robotic and creepy. Sometimes the ice cream is melty and skimpy. Sometimes it's perfectly frozen and hefty. This screams bad management and poor training.

The custard is very good, but ridiculously expensive and portions are much smaller than they used to be. I paid $7.49 plus tax and tip for a large custard that was more like a small.

Rita's has been in Frederick since i was in high school. I've never been a fan. But I have children, and their taste buds are different and i have been taking them to different ice cream shops around town, and they really liked Rita's.

The service is very bad, it is very expensive and the ice creams have too much sugar. I do not recommend it.

I love Rita's! The stand on North Patrick is the one I grew up with, and I've gone other places, but this one is the best. The service is always great, they already have 3 or 4 windows open so even though there is a line, it goes fast. I usually do a mango raspberry combo gelati, but the island fusion flavor was calling to me, and it did not disappoint. We also got chocolate peanut butter which was great too. I wish it was in a better spot, but honestly moving it would change the vibe.
