The $2 tamales sign caught my eye while I was grocery shopping child free. The gentleman at the counter was incredibly kind and the tamales were exactly what I had wanted. Today, the taco Tuesday sign got me. I found a new favorite there! Im grateful to live off 40 where i can grocery shop and grab some awesome spanish food quick and cheap. This is totally a hidden gem.

So, I placed an order for a tres leches cake (a very moist cake, as noted) for my girlfriend. She arrived earlier to pick up the cake on the same day as the order was placed for. However, when she got there, she was informed that the cake hadn’t even been started. This was an hour before the cake should have been ready. My girlfriend was confused and frustrated as to why the cake hadn’t even been started. After some confusion and frustration, they finally gave her the cake and cake. My girlfriend asked before she left to make sure that this was the right cake that we had ordered—the tres leches cake. Unfortunately, the cake writing looked like it had been hastily added. Additionally, when the cake was opened, it didn’t resemble a tres leches cake at all; it looked like a regular cake. And not even wet inside, which was exactly what I had ordered for my girlfriend.
It’s very frustrating, annoying, and unprofessional.

This place is an absolute joke of a business unprofessional, dishonest, and completely lacking in integrity. I ordered a birthday tres leches cake 24 hours in advance, only to show up an hour early the next day and be told they hadn’t even started it. That should’ve been my red flag, since a real tres leches cake obviously takes more than an hour to prepare. Against my better judgment, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and took the cake anyway, only to discover it wasn’t tres leches at all, just a plain sponge cake with a cheap topper and the name I requested messily scrawled on the edge like an afterthought.

When I went back to complain, they weren’t apologetic in the slightest; just dismissive, rude, and blatantly disrespectful. This is not just bad service, it’s blatant false advertising and terrible business ethics. Save yourself the disappointment and take your money somewhere that actually values honesty, quality, and respect for customers.

The menudo was cold and had very little meat. The soup tasted watery. They also did not include any tortillas to go with it.
I ordered chicken tortas and the chicken was hard. The torta had very little ingredients, so it was mostly just bread.
The fried yucca tasted like it had been fried in old oil.
The customer service was terrible. I had tried calling to place my order and no one answered. When I arrived they mentioned I should’ve called instead of online ordering, but when I mentioned they didn’t answer, they just said “ohhhh, sorry.”
The prices of this meal was not worth what we got, I would not recommend going here for food.

We went on a Tuesday and got tacos (buy one get one) and Juan at the front was nice and patient! Tacos al pastor were especially good. They had a great variety of salsas and sauces. Huge wall of pastries, we had a puerquito with our coffe and it was great. We were also treated to what was basically table service because Juan checked on us several times, refilling coffee and clearing tables, even though it's just café seating. Whoever owns this place should give him a raise!
Not sure why other people had a problem here. Staff was friendly and there was no issue when we ordered in English. We would come back here again! : )

English-only speakers beware! Got the stink eye from the woman behind the counter as soon as I walked in. When I started ordering in English, she said they didn't have any food. The next guy who ordered in Spanish was helped up no problem.

Highly recommend! My husband and I come here regularly for bakery, food and yearly for children’s birthday cakes. I must say we always experience excellent customer service here and we are never disappointed with the birthday cakes.
We ordered a unicorn birthday cake and it absolutely surpassed our expectations.
The detail on this cake was impressive and truly admired! True talent! Our cake even had beautiful detailed tiny gold stars and even sparkles on it!
Our 4 year old daughter was so overjoyed with her cake and it tasted so delicious too!
It looked and tasted as it should and we will continue to order our family birthday cakes from here!

Cake was mid. Search for a better spot

A long time a go they treated my mom bad only because she went to ask for a cake for my brother in law and they were taking to her bad but the manager was being nice.

Delicious food and wonderful tamales!

I didn't know where to have a breakfast and I found this place, it seemed hidden and it has a homely atmosphere. The food is delicious and bread is good and fresh. I love this place !

Pozole is amazing. Friendly staff. Quiet relaxed atmosphere.

I’m pretty disappointed to give this review to the spot because when I first walked in OMG, it was so cute. I love the antique sewing machine and the tables are so chic. I had the Pupusas and to be honest I wouldn’t even call them pupusas. It was a skinny tortilla with some cheese between it. I’ve never seen anything like this. I also ordered the chicken flautas and I didn’t even get that what I received was crispy tacos. I didnt even finish my food.
