So thankful for Sanctuary! Events with people needing safe foods due to allergies or sensitivities can be complicated. Most recently, they made a beautiful, delicious wedding cake for my daughter’s special day. Sanctuary provides options that allow everyone in my family to safely participate and enjoy celebrations. Prices are extremely reasonable.

Gluten free! No inside seating, so if you are buying a hot and ready item you'll be sitting outside or in your car to eat. Took someone with celiac there, they got to have their first chicken tender, churro, and onion rings in years. They were delish, with a lot of flavor in the breading.

We are lucky to have a dedicated gluten free place in Frederick. Those who have to follow strict avoidance (whether an allergy, intolerance, or Celiac) have limited options when it comes to dining out safely in Frederick. Sanctuary gives those with severe allergies an opportunity for a meal out without the risk of cross contamination and consequences. Thank you.

Absolutely incredible gluten free products. You would not know they were gluten free. They were so good. Enjoyed the chicken fingers and fries, cupcakes, biscuits, and key lime bars. All out of this world.

Stopped by today to pick up a few sweets and they had a great selection of handmade goodies available for any dietary restriction. We got a vegan sugar cookie with icing and the dairy-free zebra cake. So so so yummy! We also picked up a few little cookie treats specifically for our old puppy who is very sensitive with food and she was chomping at the bit. I guess she loved her treat as much as we loved ours! My husband had no idea either treat was vegan or dairy-free. Everything was so yummy! Melt in your mouth. Such a lovely family-owned woman-owned small business!

Definitely not a restaurant.
Swung by to get lunch on a trip from DC to Cumberland and realized everything worth getting is frozen. The only hot food options were Mac and cheese and chicken tenders which are not appealing to me.
I did get a cinnamon scone which has a great texture and taste. And I got a key lime bar which was overly sweet and artificial tasting.
💯 Should be listed as a bakery or take out place and not a restaurant. Really bummed as I was looking forward to a safe lunch on a long travel day but don't have access to a way to heat up the food.

My husband has celiac's, so finding this place was pretty awesome for him. But as someone who isn't GF, I will say that the 5 layer bars are to die for. Seriously. The baby cakes were especially delicious as well. I haven't tasted any other GF desserts that even come close to these. I wish I could have tried all of them. Hopefully next time if we are in town. A shipping option for some of the less perishable bakery goods would be fabulous. 😉
