Very bad customer service, it doesn't have any sense why take so long prepare an order, specially if you placed an order ahead with the app, they should prepare that order before all walk in customers.So disappointed. Total waste of time.

Used to frequent this location. My last visit confirmed my decision to not return. When I walked in, I witnessed a man trying to reach over the counter to grab a straw while the employee was standing in front of the straws and told the customer "there are straws over there" towards the exit. After I placed my order, the employee seemed to be putting ingredients in at random and kept stopping blending to pour tap water. The smoothie didn't taste right, so I called and asked for a refund. He said the manager is the only one who can do refunds but he's not here, and he doesn't do refunds anyway. When I asked why the smoothie tastes different he said he "forgot dates" and that he can remake it. But when I came back in the store he was using different ingredients than he originally used, so it wasn't just a matter of forgetting one ingredient. He handed me the smoothie and this time with a straw. This remade smoothie tasted correct, but this experience in addition to the reviews left during the same time period let me know to steer clear of this location. I now go to Tropical Smoothie Cafe.

Always was my favorite place to go after the gym or a soccer game. The past two visits I had have been horrible. The first one, ingredients were spilling into each other, bathroom was gross, and my smoothie had literal chunks of the blend in it. The second time, measurements were not correct at all, and ingredients were still spilling into eachother. I wish I would’ve caught her name, but whatever teenage girl was working 4/17 around 4:30 pm, dropped a lid on the ground and put it right back on the stack. This place is actually disgusting and I expect someone to go and do a check. Train your employees about cleanliness and customer care. As a teenager writing this, I know more about human health compared to this management team at this point.

I was employed here at Smoothie King of Frederick a number of year ago. I had been back a few times, here and there, but most recently, my experience was very eye opening. When I was employed, we were tasked with cleaning everything twice a day, and I mean EVERYTHING. At the time, I didn't understand why the owner was so strict about it. Having been back a few times since the store changed hands, I clearly see why the previous owner was so strict about keeping it clean.I came in with 3 friends - 2 of which ordered but I opted out after seeing the place. Here is what I noticed in the less than 3 minutes I was in there. (front to back)- Fruit (mostly strawberries) all over the floor near the front, could see it clear as day with their new open look. - Powders, a complete mess, spilling over, and caked/dried on the edges of the containers. This tells me that they are likely never changed out or switched out. - Glass back splash looked like it hadn't been wiped/cleaned in weeks, dried fruit juices, finger prints, etc. This is crazy to me because we know people like to watch their smoothie being made and to see it through this gross glass window tells a lot.- Shelves around the store and especially in front of the register had dust, lint and HAIR on them.- Down by the register, the ceiling had to have had 500+ fruit flies. Now listen, we all know fruit flies are a major pain BUT one can't help to think most, if not all, can be avoided if the store was properly cleaned/maintained and the fruit was properly stored.Can't help but to think/imagine how many are in the fruit and/or in customers smoothies. Even just 1 is 1 too many. Aside from those things, my friends said they enjoyed their smoothies.

We had been drinking smoothies from Smoothie King for years when we lived on Long Island. After moving to New Market MD we discovered there was a Smoothie King in Frederick. The smoothies are delicious every time! Many thanks to the Smoothie King staff in Frederick!!

Placed a mobile order using their app on 4/28 for an 11:30 pick up I believe. When I arrived to the store I looked in the fridge where they keep the mobile orders and there was nothing there. I spoke to the employee at the counter who was using his phone. He said he didn’t receive the order so he would not be able to make my smoothie despite me showing him the confirmation of my order. I asked again because I thought clearly I must be misunderstanding what he’s saying. He repeated his earlier statement this time with a bit more attitude. I inquired about a refund and he lied and said I’d have to go through the app. Went to the app and it says for refunds contact the store directly. I’ve called the store twice to speak to a manager that never seems to be there and won’t return my call. I decided to dispute the charge with my bank and after a 5 minute phone call my 4.22 will be refunded. Please don’t think it’s about the money. That won’t break my bank but I hope the store manager sees this and hires employees that strive to provide a good customer service experience.

I came here after lunch because I wanted something cool and some extra protein to take with me as I just went hiking and apple picking. I needed more than just caffeine. Comes this place. I don't remember the last time I have been to a Smoothie King, but it feels like it has redid itself to have a lot of extras and combinations of flavors. This reminds me of the brand Robeks. Or was it Robeks that reminds me of this place. Either or, my experience here wasn't bad. I wish they had seating beyond the single bench outside that faces the sun in the afternoons. Besides that, I enjoyed my smoothie. The staff was nice and I had no issues. It was a bit confusing to order as you order, then walk all the way in to pay.

Decent smoothies.Poor service; Ordered curbside pickup. Waited nearly 20 minutes after the form said it would be ready. Lo and behold, my order is inside a fridge waiting for me.Please define "curbside pickup".Please explain why I had to provide vehicle information.

Smoothies are good, customer service at this location is poor. Also they won’t allow paying customers to use the restroom.Updated August 2022, family run business so I will support, smoothie still taste good and customer service is better. Only complaint is that the store needs to be cleaned. To date the cleanest smoothie king location is still Manassas.
