If you're looking for a place to get an interesting drink or sample some amazing spirits, this is the place in Frederick to go. We travel down to Frederick, Maryland three to four times a year and every time we go we always stop. The one thing we can say is no matter when we go. The bartenders are always some of the nicest as well as most attentive bartenders. It's easy to go here to have a drink and end up sitting, talking and enjoying the atmosphere for 4 hours.

Had a good experience with the female bartenders, all nice and attentive, a male bartender, Gavin, however, completely ignored me every time I tried to talk to him, and never asked for my drink order, but happily talked to everyone sitting right next to me, except only tried to ask if I wanted to close out 😂 drinks that I ordered were good, however, they should have rum so they can make rum based cocktails

We are incredibly grateful to Tenth Ward for their outstanding collaboration and generous support during our Raise a Glass for Superheroes event. From the very start, the team was welcoming, professional, and truly a joy to work with.

Not only did they provide a fantastic venue that set the perfect tone for the evening, but they also went the extra mile by creating a signature cocktail just for our fundraiser—a unique and memorable touch that everyone loved!

Thanks to Tenth Ward’s hospitality and generosity, we were able to raise vital funds in support of our mission. It was an honor to partner with such a community-minded business, and we truly felt like part of the Tenth Ward family.

Visited on Saturday afternoon, 24th May, and refused service for not having an American issued ID, despite having a valid UK drivers license and photo of my passport to cross reference. I was really disappointed that a business that serves alcohol does not have any process to verify international IDs. Every bar or pub or restaurant I have been to in the US has had staff able to verify international IDs - I really recommend training your staff to be able to facilitate this process, as it was a really unpleasant experience being told to leave, and the waiter was unhelpful.

Update: I appreciate that the industry is regulated, but contrary to your comment UK drivers licenses are valid forms of ID in the US for non official purposes such as in bars or restaurants. The establishment can decide whether to accept them or not, so I maintain that it is a shame you are not willing to accept them. The waiter seemed very confused about what to do, and contrary to your comment did not explain anything that you have said he did below. This is another reason for the poor review - staff working at a bar should be trained in verifying IDs and understanding drinking regulations.

Beautiful venue for a dance! We were well taken care of by Tenth Ward and hope to have another dance event there soon!

This is my favorite place to get well crafted cocktails — whether it’s a twist on a classic or something inventive. All of their spirits are crafted in house, the menu is entirely vegan, and they have a rotating seasonal spirits release and cocktail menu that is always exciting to try out! All of their staff are helpful, and Onyx, Sarah, and Taylor are especially excellent bartenders! The vibes are always great and I always look forward to when I get a chance to come through for a treat. They partner with the restaurant next door so you can order food to be brought right over to your table or seat at the bar.

I love this bar. Every time I go, I have a lovely time. Onyx, Taylor, and Sarah are incredible. They're so friendly and always make sure we have a good time. I highly recommend coming here!

Great spirits and cocktails!!

Came for libations before a dinner reserve. I got the Maryland brandy and my girlfriend got an espresso martini and the raspberry gimlet. Drinks were good. Place was nice. Bartenders were attentive and served the whole bar fairly. Cool spot to check out with all their own booze. Establishment was also very nicely decorated. Good place to take a date for a couple of drinks.

Visited 3x for drinks and jazz. Jazz was better than the drinks all 3x.

And this last time it took 20 minutes to get a drink. Place was maybe 1/5 full. Staff chatted amiably with each other while we just sat there 10 feet away. Folks were nice when we did get noticed. Then disappeared again.

Good music. Bad service. Disappointing booze.

I had the hot cider and it was so damn good. It incorporated the house Autumn Liqueur and the house Orange Liqueur. It was a great winter treat.

They are really great at what they do.
