(Edit: I am not Dan) Buyer beware. First off, shop is clean and well organized and looks nice. Went in to buy loose leaf tea, and since the place looked so nice, along with the prices, assumed to be buying a high quality product. Nope! We bought 50$ worth of tea and once we get home we realize it has artificial flavors and sulfites! Each tea bag was 13$+ dollars… and not even organic. You think when something is so expensive you shouldn’t have to worry about anything being artificial in it. You THINK you’re buying high quality product. Joke is on us.
Thankfully, we were able to return everything even though the sales clerk gave a bunch of attitude and sighing. I’m sorry, but I am not paying so much for such bad quality. Edit: looking back at the reviews, this was actually the owner of the place and he gives terrible customer service across the board
Go to MOMs or common market. They sell ORGANIC fair trade tea for less than 2$ for same bag size. And it’s great.

I adore this little spot. it has such a good variety and i love how they sell spices as well as tea! they also sell flavored honey and sometimes have samples of baked goods that have been made with the teas! they also have a small cafe in the back where you can get a tea or hot drink made! i love it here. the staff is always so friendly! my personal recommendations are the blue raspberry crush herbal tea and the Mystic dragon green tea! i highly recommend this place!

This place is great! You can wander around and smell all the wonderful tea and spices they have for sale. We each bought a cup of tea and loved it. Will definitely go back.

2023, 6Aug.2024 Was in here last year and still the same wonderful shopping vibes. The customer service person is always so nice.

There is a tea bar in the back of the store. So many wonderful and delicious spices, teas, oils, and other things. The large smelling jar are the best.

There is something for the person in your life who loves to cook and loves their tea. Such a great place to shop and just simply looking around and smell the teas and spices.

This should be your first stop in Frederick, get a nice aromatic tea to remind you of the comfort and hospitality that this establishment and the area brings. A super wide range of teas, very impressive spices and peppers selection. If you grill, drink tea, or bake this place should be on your list!

If you like to cook, DO NOT MISS THIS SPOT. They've got so much amazing stuff in here. Really cool interior too. The prices are pretty reasonable too. Great business, in a good location too.

Turns out $60 Himalayan salt doesn’t taste better than $8 Himalayan salt. My bad really.

Rude customer service. Stood at register waiting to check out, while the clerk just kept unwrapping and putting stickers on product. She saw us waiting and let us wait while she did this. After this, we just left. I guess they don't need our business.

Lovely spices , great service

One of many Spice & Tea Exchange stores across the U.S., they offer a lot of teas, candles, and spices. They have large containers, so one can smell all the different products.The store owner was incredibly kind, helping procure tea from the back and ensuring we were able to find what we needed.

Update as of 8/21/2023: Owner (who is the man behind the counter) responded to my review offering me to call and go over my experience. I tried this and experienced from him the same rude behavior. This guy clearly wasn’t just having a bad day. A ‘Sorry’ doesn’t cut it if the behavior doesn’t change. Still will never support this small, local business.Went in last week with a few friends. The owner (or man behind counter) was SO rude I would never purchase or support this small business. There was no reason for his ridiculous behavior.
