First time at this restaurant and I will definitely be back! This is definitely now within my top 2 places for Thai food as it was extremely flavorful.

My girl-friend and I went to hang out for dinner on a Thursday evening. There were at most 3 tables seated, so not busy at all. Maybe that’s why we got 3 servers. 😆 The service wasn’t great. Only the third lady, the younger one, was very nice. The other two made faces at us and rolled their eyes when we needed extra time to choose drinks and then food. We didn’t go there to eat in 30 mins and leave. 😒 The food was good- not too oily which was great because some places cook with a lot of oil. Cocktails were a bit weak, though.

⭐️ 1 Star – Overpriced, Terrible Food, and Disrespectful Service

This was our first and last time at Asia Nine, MD The experience was awful from start to finish.

We were initially served by a waitress named PA, who was rude and dismissive right away. When we politely asked what the most popular dishes were (a normal question for first-time customers), she pointed at the menu and said, “You guys can read.” She acted rushed, irritated, and made it very clear she didn’t want to answer questions or engage with us at all.

Shortly after, she disappeared and another server took over, which honestly felt like she chose not to serve us anymore. Thankfully, the second waitress, DAO was kind, patient, and respectful. She was the only positive part of the entire visit.

On top of the terrible service, the food was extremely disappointing. We spent almost $100 for two meals and one beer, which is not cheap by any standard especially for food that was bland, poorly prepared, and absolutely not worth the price. Paying that much for food this bad felt like a complete waste of money.

The combination of disrespectful service, uncomfortable atmosphere, and terrible food made this one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. No one should leave a restaurant feeling unwelcome and ripped off.

I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this place to anyone who expects decent service, fair pricing, and quality food.

One of the best Thai spots in town! We got the fried rice and crispy basil chicken. Large servings and great taste.
I understand the concept is supposed to be a mix of asian cultures so the interior design is a lot to take in.
Overall, great place to hang out with a group of friends or have a simple date night.

Food came out quickly & was tasty. Staff was attentive. Location was good as near Crown Park which had a band playing. Unfortunately we could not sit putside to hear it as they did not have heat lamps. Beer & wine options were low quality for the $14/15 a glass so went with Prosecco. Food was little pricey, too. My drunken noodles with shrimp came to $26 before tax & tip. Waitress brought us our check at end & after signing & doing tip, they took it back, voided & redid it adding $5 more...for the shrimp on my drunk noodles.

I’ve been a loyal customer since your restaurant opened in our area. I’ve always enjoyed your food—both Thai and Japanese dishes—and have even recommended your place to friends, including Thai friends who were also impressed.
However, I was recently very shocked and disturbed to see the War Criminal Flag displayed in your newly redecorated restaurant. This flag, while it may be familiar to some through manga, anime, or video games, carries deep and painful historical trauma for many people across Asia, including Koreans, Chinese, and even Americans, due to its association with Japan's imperial military during World War II. Under that flag, countless atrocities were committed—including against my own family.
As a Korean, my grandpa was taken to Japan during the occupation and forced to serve the Japanese military. He later witnessed the killing of fellow Koreans and was never able to live peacefully after the war. My grandma could only speak Japanese until we became independent from Japan because speaking Korean was forbidden under threat of death. The trauma is real and still lives with many of us today.
Displaying this flag in a public space—especially in a multicultural country like this one—is deeply offensive and hurtful. To many, it is no different than displaying a Nazi flag in a German restaurant. Symbols have power, and they must be used with care and awareness of their historical context.
I shared my concern with one of your servers, who kindly informed the manager, but unfortunately, the response I received—laughter and no action—was extremely disappointing and dismissive.
I urge you to please educate yourselves on the meaning and impact of this symbol and to consider removing it from your restaurant out of respect for your diverse customers and the painful histories many carry.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I truly hope you take this matter seriously.

Just left Asia Nine for the very first time and immediately had to leave a review! Dining in, a friend and I had king salmon sushi, chicken satay, edamame & chive dumplings all for appetizers. He had the lamp chops and I had the Panang curry for entree. Everything was cooked to perfection with love! Service was great and the drinks were even better! I had a lychee martini and he had a hibicus martini! Drinks were bomb! We also ordered to crab meat fried rice and spring rolls Togo, so hopefully everything else will uphold this review! The ambience was beautiful as well and the restaurant is very spacious, with great outside seating. Will definitely be back here during the week for a happy hour!

I really enjoyed my visit to Asia Nine in Downtown Crown.

I kind of stumbled across it since I was in the area and decided to pop in and give it a try.

I ended up having the Alligator roll with a side of spicy mayo which was pretty good but the real start of the show was the mango sticky rice of which I actually had two orders of because it was simply that good!

My server, Dao, was also very sweet and attentive. Very thankful for that after a long week.

I had a very disappointing experience here. Less than halfway through my meal, I found a hair at the bottom of the dish. I pointed it out to the waitress, but instead of apologizing or addressing the issue, she simply took the plate away and ignored me. Mistakes can happen, but the way it was handled showed a complete lack of care and professionalism. I left feeling disrespected and won’t be coming back.

Our recent visit was not as good as we have become used to. The staff is friendly. But this visit their attention to our water glasses was poor and inconsistent.

Went here on a Tuesday night and everything was great. Service was quick and super friendly. We got the Shrimpzilla sushi roll, pork gyoza, Korean sizzling beef, and Pad Kapow. All of it was so good.

The sizzling beef definitely lives up to its name, it came out steaming and crackling, almost like a little tableside show. Shrimpzilla was fresh, the gyoza had that perfect crisp, and the Pad Kapow had just the right kick.

Great vibe, great food, and fast service. Definitely recommend!

Great Food. Warm welcoming Service. Crispy Basil Tofu & Drunken Noodles were worth multiple visits. Pad Thai was not as expected but decent. Overall worth the 1hr drive for us.
