Watered Down Milk Tea AND Unsanitary Practices I’m very disappointed with my recent experience at Bengong’s Tea in Gaithersburg. I ordered the Osmanthus Green Tea with fermented rice that comes with crystal jelly, but they forgot the crystal jelly in my first drink. When I brought it up, they offered to take the same drink back and add the missing topping. I declined because of hygiene concerns and politely asked for a new one to be made.
The second cup was completely watered down, with very little flavor and barely any toppings. It didn’t taste anything like what I’ve had at other Bengong’s locations. I pointed this out and mentioned their satisfaction guarantee, but instead of making a fresh drink, they gave me excuses.
In the end, they took my original drink and just added the fermented rice to it. This felt careless, unprofessional, and showed a clear lack of regard for customer concerns and hygiene.
Overall, I left feeling unsatisfied and frustrated. The service was dismissive, the quality was disappointing, and the way my concerns were handled was unacceptable. I won’t be coming back to this location.

Don't order bubble tea here! The sizes are much smaller than all the other bubble tea places in the area and it's the same price. Lately too, this place has gotten even worse! They give you a whole cup of boba and you literally get a few sips of juice! The bubbles are literally all the way to the top of the drinks. It is awful! I took a picture of it. It was such a waste of money. I ordered several drinks from them for an girl's night I was having and there was no juice, it was all boba pearls to the top of the cup. I literally only got maybe four tablespoons of juice in each drink! it's ridiculous! There are far better bubble tea places out there than this one. I will never order from this one again. I rarely leave reviews on Google. I have left maybe 5 reviews on restaurants on Google in 10 years, but this was so frustrating and ridiculous that I had to leave a review.

Boba tasted great! I don’t like soggy or certain tasting boba but it was the right texture and flavor for me. They are quick and fast and have many options as well.

Red bean milk tasted like milk with beans inside
Brown sugar milk with boba was not bad but the boba was bad… we got that cus the other drink was baaaad!

I ordered jasmine super fruit tea with no fruits on it at all only 2 slide of lemons and 2 pieces of Pineapples . I ordered 100 percent of sugar but the tea taste so blend and also moore like lemon tea then fruits tea .i think they down grade the quality . The tea cost 8.40 but it look more like 4 dollars . I had Bengong’s tea manny places but this place a the worst will never order from here again

Quite disappointing. We ordered 5 drinks (strawberry yakult tea, matcha boba milk tea, mango pomelo sago, red bean milk tea, and DaHongPao milk tea) and only the red bean milk tea was like 3/5. For the rest of them, the tea flavors are all super weak, matcha was not good quality, and the fruit had very artificial flavor that left a weird aftertaste. The tapioca is also horrendous. Have you ever stored boba in the fridge to drink later? That's what these boba tasted like--very hard in the center and not chewy. And these were supposed to be fresh. Overall, some of the worst bubble and fruit teas I have had ever.
The lady at the register called out everyone’s order number but mine. I waited for 21 minutes and I had to go up to the counter and ask for it. It was cold and she was sitting behind the register eating her lunch. She didn’t apologize for making me wait or for not calling my order. She smiled at other customers but not at me even when I left a generous tip and thanked her anyways. I will never be coming here again, I don’t enjoy being treated differently, I don’t enjoy wait staff who don’t have a sense of urgency and hospitality.

Average taste with the tea flavor present, but the volume is so small for a medium given you are paying almost 7 if plus a topping, which is like NYC prices. Grossly overpriced for the DMV region. And toppings should not be all $1, because some are way cheaper in cost than others.

The prices are ridiculously high , + the majority of the staff do not know a single English word and only know Chinese . We tried to ask for help and the woman was looking at us with a poker face. She didn’t know a single English word . Even those who know a little of English are not really helping . Not a pleasant experience at all.
