Food was great! We got the goat biriyani, butter chicken, butter naan and mango lassi to wash it all down. Robert our server was very pleasant and got our food out to us in a timely fashion. He was attentive and prepared to answer all of our questions. The ambiance was welcoming and calming. This was our first time but we will definitely be back soon.

Great ambienence, our server was very polite. The only thing is the parotta was oily and we couldn't finish it. However the mutton gravy that came with it was absolutely delicious along with everything else we ordered.
This is our second visit to Chennai Hoppers. We booked a table for 7 and the restaurant did a perfect job calling to find out if all the guests were adults. Yes. Unlike the previous visit this time the welcome and service was excellent. Food has always been superb. They have table cloth service and are well staffed professionally. Their food is awesome so even if we don't go to eat Indian outside, since we make it home this restaurant is an exception. The Appam and stew is incredible. The Chandni Chowk samosa chaat was enjoyed by all. The vegetarian ennai kathitrikai was so tasty. We ordered the Pallipalayam Chicken which tasted excellent with the thick gravy. My son liked the Malai reshmi in abandoned, juicy cooked in the tandoor. Fair warning, the Virdhunagar Chukka Kari Dosa is like an Uttappam (think pizza) and a meal in itself. The Appam and stew were out of this world. Only the Dum Goat Biryani disappointed. Service was excellent. I judge this by the way the service staff fill the water without asking especially in an Indian restaurant. They did great. If you have to drive here, know that the drive will be worth it. We ordered the Assorted Bread basket and it's worth the price. My second comparison is the bread is the right texture and taste. This definitely was. *****

The chef perfectly matched the spiciness to my preference, which I appreciate. The Appam with chicken roast was excellent, and the service was top-notch. I'll definitely be returning to sample more items from their menu.

A really delicious Tamil Nadu lunchtime! Excellent spicy butter chicken using tandoori chicken. Crispy dosa with delicious masala and sambhar. Idlis were a bit crumbly so maybe not the freshest. Ok okra. Sweet mango lassi. Friendly and attentive staff. We'll be back!
