Cinco de Mayo Restaurant & Bar

The first 2 times I went, the food was not good. Coming from SoCal my expectations are pretty low and the decent ones I found are Guapos and Gringoes and Mariachis. But with this being close to me, I gave it a third chance. I ordered the Birria Quesadillas. That will be my last time there. The waitress came by every 15 minutes (total of 6 times in 1 hour) to ask if everything was okay- it wasn't like it was packed. My friend felt pressured and the last time the waitress came, my friend asked for the check. Not to get graphic but suffice to say that the food was as bad coming in as it was going out (4 times and counting!). I guess the good news is that I'll shed some extra pounds.

The folks were lovely. The restaurant is pleasing. The food is bland (at best) and the margarita was actually AWFUL. I'm not sure what they used as the mix, but, whatever it is, consider changing it. I very rarely leave my cocktail sitting.. but after the 4th sip, I just couldn't. This place has potential! But would be smart to consider revamping the menus and/or chef/ingredients.

Went a couple of times here and I was not impressed. Their lunch steak fajitas ($14) barely has any meat, just mostly veggies. Meat's overcooked & the flavor's also more bland compared to your typical fajitas. I came back for their dinner steak fajitas ($23) and the meat's only a little more than their lunch portion lol... I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon.

The taste of the food was fine and the people were mostly nice. But they literally forgot a part of my dessert. Like how do you forget to give me the icecream? Just annoying and I would be careful with the food you get there

It was good, the service was good as well. They’re very nice 👍 Though they did take quite a while for the amount of workers they had… they have a cute worker😏 slideee. The food was alright, maybe a bit more flavor please. And more drinks like Jamaica and horchata and more😄🙏

I went on cinco de mayo very late. First of all I ordered one drink! $18 for one drink and they added automatic gratuity for 2 people. Wtf? I’m a server as well and that’s just wrong I know several other people that came with and won’t be returning with how much we were charged. Such a disappointment and for the server to only check back in once. Not ok do better. Also the first time the server brought the check back she said it was declined, I checked my bank account and told her try again. It went through. Simple serving etiquette.

Should have listened to other reviews! Service is extremely slow. We went there for happy hour wings and beer and it took us 30 minute just to order and flag a server down. another 30 minute to get a drink and so on....

Pros: happy hours wings r great deal and beer

Majority, don't speak english and can't understand most of the time. They also get mad when you ask them to repeat what They even said How this even possible.

This place is amazing. Everyone is really nice, food is great and service is fast. Love that they have special events at night. Is a great atmosphere for families.

Food is overpriced and very bland. I mean 20 bucks for a quesadilla crazy that came out quick but cold..queso dip was cold watery almost tasted like cheese wiz.....the drinks...i ordered a rum and coke and got jack and coke....how do you mess that up....not worth it...i wouldn't come back. No thanks

Great ambience. The service is on point. I go with my Friends and they always greet us and our food comes fast. They have nice music playing in the background and a wide range of food and drinks. I have been here many times now and always recommend this place to Friends and Family! Definitely a place to try!

So there are two reasons why I would not return here 1. terrible service 2. all the kids that were at the bar Several of my friends and I decided to try this place after the movie on Saturday night. There was a DJ there that was playing a nice mix and it seemed like a nice place to hang out. Starting with drinks, someone ordered the Spanish coffee and requested no whipped cream/cherry … this was not being understood by the waitress and I thought maybe there was a language barrier until we tried to explain to her for the 10th time and her reply was I don’t know if we have any … to which I replied, it doesn’t matter if you have any because he doesn’t want it. She went away for a moment when she came back she had two more questions in regards to this coffee and I’m still confused as to what the issue was. Then the order for three shooters, she brings one which she spills all over my pants and her response was not oops or I’m sorry or feeling the need to bring me any napkins (since they were not on the table) she just goes back to the bar to get a replacement drink …. alrighty then …. someone from my group got me napkins and I wiped up the table, menus and my pants that were victims of the spilling. Later she bought some additional drinks to the table and when we inquired about the other two shooters she looks totally confused. About 5 minutes later we see the shooters at the bar and now this experience is just a joke to us so we’re wondering whether the shooters will make it to the table and if so how long it would take … it was about 15 minutes later. Everyone liked their drinks. We basically decided to just finish the drinks and leave because this was not going well.

During the time we were there, they were a group of kids that were going back-and-forth from the bar (getting drinks) to the two booths they were occupying. The oldest looked 16 and she was very chummy with one of the bartenders and our waitress, so I don’t know if she was related to one of them …the youngest in the group looked around 12, but I’m guessing he’s probably 14 based on the age group that he was with. As the place thinned the boys in the group now felt comfortable enough to gather at the bar, order more drinks and enjoy them at the bar. I went to the bar to ask one of the bartenders for a manager, and while I was waiting, the two women that were at the bar were discussing why there are a bunch of kids sitting at the bar which was interesting because my friend group was also laughing at the fact that it must’ve been teenybopper night. The bartender was very friendly and he took me over to the manager and I told the manager it was not a good idea to have a bunch of kids sitting at the bar consuming alcohol, and he stated to me that they should’ve been ID’ed and he’ll double check … he then comes back to me and tells me the bartender said that he checked id’s, I said sir I work with children I know what a teenager looks like and none of those kids are 18 much less 21 and if a cop were to walk in here, he would clear off the entire bar he again said that they were ID’ed. sometimes in a group of 12 kids one maybe two kids may look younger than the rest but there’s no way in that large group not one of those kids could pass for 18 much less 21. As we were leaving around 11:30 more kids were coming but they looked like high school seniors at least.
