Raquel is really good to listen to the customer and to provide excellent suggestions. This is my go-to custom cake shop in the DMV! Great tasty cakes at reasonable prices. we used custom cake designs for our wedding as it was included as a package with the wedding venue, Milton Ridge. We made an appointment for the cake tasting hoping to try the different flavors that is offered on custom cake designs website. Upon arriving, we were told to take a seat and we were presented a tray with different flavors. I asked if we could try some of the flavors that were not on the tray and she said “no, do you think I could make all of them?? That’s a lot of work.” To answer her question, no I don’t think you could make all of them but you could at least email me to choose what we would like to taste from your website and make those, that’s the least you could have done! This is our wedding and you treat it like it’s no big deal, just give us what you want to make and expect us to be happy about it! To some up, she had a horrible attitude and did not care about providing adequate service. DO NOT USE!

We worked with Custom Cake Design through our wedding venue. They provided a cake and cupcakes for our May 2025 wedding and did not disappoint! We wanted a fairly unique type of cake for our wedding - a honey cake - which is notoriously difficult to get right, but they knocked it out of the park. They were also very considerate in providing a gluten-free cupcake for a guest with a celiac allergy. Our guests were very happy with everything they provided, and we appreciated their flexibility in getting us exactly what we wanted for our wedding day.

The staff are extremely friendly and professional, and are willing to work with you to design the perfect cake for your event. (I had a photo from Pinterest and the team was able to produce an exact replica.) Their cakes are very tasty and moist, and not too sweet. Also, they offer a range of flavors and fillings.

Their customer service was great. I worked with Raquel to help make my vision come to life and she and the team did an AMAZING job at making that happen. She was provided timely responses, answered any questions that I had and made the design adjustments I asked for. My husband was also assisted by the team with placing the cakes in the car and making sure they were secured.
Our finished product was better than I imagined. The animals were so cute and the quality was top tier. My guests also shared that the flavors were delicious. They said that the cake was moist and very flavorful.
We will definitely be returning for many more events to come.

Aside from my dad, the cake was the talk of the party and a true focal point. The owner was patient and helped me design the cake, and it was reasonably priced. I will definitely go back for all my cake needs!
They made my wedding cake for July 10th 2024 and it was exactly how I had wanted it, the cake was vanilla and strawberry filling with buttercream, it was very delicious and moist and the cake design was so gorgeous. I couldn't be happier with it. Highly highly recommend this business for beautiful cake designs.

I placed my order last week and paid $140. I thought it would be worth it but I was disappointed. I was excited about my cake the manager of the place told me I had to keep my cake refrigerated because it was bad to keep it out for too long. When it came time to cut it the cake was dry too dry without any filling it had no flavor it was just dry yellow bread the topping was too sweet no whipped cream I had a very bad experience I do not recommend this place
