Don Pollo is a hidden gem that delivers big on flavor and comfort. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of rotisserie chicken sets the tone for a satisfying meal. The chicken is juicy on the inside with a perfectly crisped skin, and the sides—especially the, black beans & rice, and the pico de gallo garden salad—are flavorful and generously portioned. I even had to splurge for a beef empanada appetizer and it was crispy on the outside with a very savory season filling that hit the right spot!

The space is clean and welcoming, with a casual vibe that’s great for families or a quick solo bite like I had. Service is fast and friendly, and even though they were busy, the staff kept things moving smoothly. I especially appreciated the variety of sauces—each one adds a unique kick to the meal.

Whether you're grabbing takeout or dining in, Don Pollo hits the mark for quality, value, and taste. Highly recommend if you're craving Latin-inspired comfort food done right!

Damn good chicken is the only way I can describe it. Seriously, it is that delicious.

Coming home from the SC we stopped here for dinner last year. It was outstanding. We stopped again this year on our way home to PA. The chicken is so flavorful and tender. Others had a steak dish that was equally as good. My grandchildren had the chicken and rice. We chose yuca fries, roasted veggies, soup, rice and black beans.
It was SO GOOD!!!
We only wish there was a Don Pollo here in Pine County PA.

I've never been so disappointed with food from a restaurant. You don't see the food, so you have to order based on what's essentially a list. I got the driest, most boring plate of food. I wonder what made me think it will be like Sardi. See for yourself

I don't know if it has to do with the change of cooks or the staff but there are times when the chicken turns out excellent but on this occasion the chicken came out salty and was raw it was not cooked well I don't know if they are changing a lot of staff because they are Many times you feel the difference between how one cooks it or how another cooks it and it is very different. This comment is so that we improve and pay more attention to small things.

My tablemates loved the soup (shown). The salad (shown) was quality, fresh ingredients.
The chicken topping was acceptable.
The steak topping was terrible. Just crumbles of cold, overcooked meat.

At your door you offer empanadas! But it doesn't specify, empanadas from where! I bought one thinking it was Peruvian but it wasn't Peruvian. When I asked him if it wasn't Peruvian he told me no! Well, being in a Peruvian food restaurant, I imagined it was Peruvian! I was disappointed and the person I asked to return it didn't let me! The empanadas they sell there are not Peruvian, make no mistake! Ask first where they are from! I asked for the complaints book and they wouldn't give it to me.

I was a frequent customer of Don Pollo, but they have undoubtedly worsened their food and customer service.

It is very unfortunate to place an order and when you get home not to find what you ordered, I had a bad experience, I contacted the manager and she came out with an unpleasant attitude which is a shame that since they changed staff Don Pollo lost that good touch of friendliness and dissected courtesy.
