I don't know why if they ask what you want, they always come with things that I don't order, my order comes wrong, I order bean pupusas, they send me scrambled eggs, I order soup and I want brisket, they send hips 🙄 so they ask if they put what they want
The only good thing is the Pupusas because I bought a yuca with chicharrón and the chicharrón was hard and old and full of old oil that I had to throw away because it's like eating a cardboard. There are places where it is worth eating a yuca with chicharrón. Here apart from that they serve the order as if it were a side. They are very reliable and try to serve you well but the quality of some dishes leaves a lot to be desired.

El Comalito is not what it used to be. We’ve been buying pupusas from this place for a long time, but unfortunately, the quality has gone downhill. The pupusas often lack enough cheese or beans, and they’re not as soft as they used to be.
What’s more concerning is the cleanliness in the kitchen. On several occasions, I’ve noticed staff eating or chewing food while working in the kitchen, which I find unhygienic. To make matters worse, we’ve found hair—or other foreign objects—in our pupusas three separate times.
It’s clear that no one is ensuring the food is prepared safely, and for this reason, I won’t be buying food from El Comalito again.
Is really small and nasty to serve food and this location. No recomendable

Pretty good overall! I been here a few times. I wish they were more consistent with the quality of their food. Last time I picked up an order of pupusas and although they were good, they over salty and I am used to eat savory food. I thought the level of salt was overpowering. I encourage them to keep a consistency in their product and they will definitely be a 5 star place.
The food was very good but the waitress lacks a little training. She was asked for a bread with chicken and she forgot to bring all the food and she didn't bring it and then she said that they couldn't prepare it because the kitchen is closed at 9 but another lady kindly prepared us what we need

The pupusas are so hard and tasteless, horrible, first and last time, too much money thrown away, so much that it's hard to earn, wow, sad reality...

Plantanos price on the website was cheaper than what I was charged- I was told the website is wrong. Also… only 4 plantains in the order, eh.
This place was ok. The restaurant is really tight and hectic. They thing that really weird me out is that in the woman’s bathroom the mirror has no space when I placed my finger on it. I don’t know what made me check, I took pictures and I got out of the bathroom fast. I will not be back. If it is a double sided mirror then that is not ok. Privacy protection laws are there for a reason. Always check to be safe!
For the people who don’t know what I mean, this is the answer I got from Google AI.
When you place your finger on a mirror and there appears to be no space between your finger and its reflection, it usually means you are looking at a "two-way mirror," where the glass is designed to allow people on the other side to see through while appearing as a regular mirror from your perspective; essentially, your finger is directly touching its reflection, indicating a lack of separation between the two sides.

El Comalito is known for their delicious pupusas. We used to eat often in El Comalito of Hyattsville, however we were in the Gaithersburg area today since we live in Baltimore and finding out a El comalito restaurant in Gaithersburg, we decided to buy some pupusas from here. I have never tried this place before and today we were craving some delicious pupusas. Unfortunately and sadly, nothing like they tasted before. A total deception. Pupusas tasted like burned beans and over filled with cheese. Flavor was really bad. Not sure if whoever is cooking this doesn’t know the recipe or just overall El comalitos have gone down the pipe. But this is nothing like it was before.

They say Indian chicken soup, the truth is it's not Indian, it's fattened, it used to be very delicious because they sold pure Indian chicken soup, the portion.

The lady or manager of the place treats her workers badly, it is very ugly to have someone like that in charge, seriously bad ??

There are staff who are sometimes very bad at serving you, especially when you are ordering takeout. I think the service needs to be friendlier.
