Dined at Guapos with a party of 6. Food quality was good but we had two problems. Service was very rushed, they wanted to get us out asap, constantly grabbing plates as soon as it seemed we might be done. Also took away salsa and chips during dinner. I often want the salsa and chips, you can't just decide we had enough. The biggest problem was the noise. There is a high noise level in this restaurant normally. On this night there were seven- I repeat seven birthday celebrations in about a one hour period. Each birthday was announced with horns, drums, and loud singing. Unbelievably loud. I don't know if they give a big prize for birthdays or what, but I will never go back, it ruined our dinner conversation.

My family has been coming to Guapo's for years and I can say with honesty that we've never had a bad meal here. The drink portions are generous, the food cooked with skill and thoroughly seasoned and rich with flavor. The interior decor, filled with massive chandeliers resembling ship steering wheels, murals, and ceilings painted to resemble a blue sky decked with fluffy white clouds, is colorful and eye-catching. The main dining room can get loud during evenings, particularly Friday and Saturday nights, and this can make conversing difficult unless one is willing to shout. But the quality of the dining experience, occasional live music, and fun atmosphere more than make up for this. We look forward to continuing to enjoy dining here.

Guapos is an absolute must-visit, especially if you're looking for a special date night spot. The atmosphere is truly amazing—it’s full of energy, romance, and the kind of vibe that makes you feel like celebrating, which is perfect since they beautifully handle birthdays and other special occasions. It's genuinely a great place to go for the ambiance alone.

Beyond the incredible setting, the food is top-notch. Everything tasted fresh, delicious, and the portions are definitely generous—you won't leave hungry! The highlight of the meal was my shrimp quesadillas, which were nothing short of amazing. It was great to see that they offer several shrimp and seafood options on the menu, giving you plenty of delicious choices.

While I only had wine, their drink selection seemed nice and complemented the festive atmosphere perfectly. I highly recommend Guapos for both the fantastic food and the romantic, celebratory feel of the whole experience.

Service and view were great but the food is beyond terrible with no seasoning and extra dry everything. The best fresh food they had was the free chips. Over hyped and all their seafood options are frozen and the rice came from Goya prepackaged box.

I had a reservation made three weeks in advance for my birthday dinner. We arrived exactly on time, but since only 8 of the 10 guests were there, the staff refused to seat us and gave our table away. Just nine minutes later, when all 10 of us were finally present, they told us we would now have to wait over an hour for another table.

Their attitude was rude and unprofessional, and they showed no consideration even after explaining it was a birthday celebration. We had been looking forward to this dinner for weeks, but the way we were treated completely ruined the experience.

Very disappointing and unacceptable service

Whenever I’m in Arlington, I can’t resist stopping by Guapo’s. This time, I brought a guest visiting from Texas so she could try one of my favorite spots. We sat in the bar area to catch some college football, and our server was quick and attentive. The food was on point — flavorful, fresh, and just as good as always. Another great visit. Highly recommend

The worst experience of my life! It was a reservation for 10 people at 6pm, 6 of them were at the entrance of the restaurant at 5:45pm and THEY DIDN'T LET US ENTER because all 10 of us weren't there! At 6:09 we were all there and they told us that now we had to wait because they had used our table. We waited for one hour and 11 minutes and they didn't give us a table... we had to leave because they didn't give us a table and we were hungry, plus in the group, which were all elderly people, we had a person with cancer who couldn't stand waiting any longer! They are a disaster, insensitive, impertinent and have an arrogant attitude as if they were doing us the favor of letting us eat there when they should be grateful that someone chooses them for a dinner. We never return again because the customer service is DISASTER!
