A gem tucked away in the heart of Rockville.

Best fried chicken, hands down! If you like mom/pop homestyle fried chicken, this is your place. The chicken is seasoned perfectly, juicy and crunchy.

Great fun neighborhood bar. Old and new. All welcome all the time. Brandon, the bartender will entertain you. The live music is great Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Little dance floor too.

Last visited last Friday night. The place was packed!!! A local band (Crackinbush) was playing and they were great! Despite how packed the place was our servers, service, and experience was great. The legendary fried chicken to a must! The beer was cold, the food was hot, the service was incredible and the atmosphere was amazing. I ran into old friends and made some new ones. After all these years, Hersheys hasn’t missed a step

My family loved this cozy restaurant with local vibes. Several regulars were eating when we were there for early dinner and it was nice hearing them greet one another. They have live music on Thurs night and karaoke. There's a digital jukebox to play music and I guess they do horse betting and keno but I have no idea about that. Maybe you can bet while you eat. There's a full bar as well. The food was good. We were all happy with our meals. Definitely going back.

The chicken was fantastic and our server was terrific. We were a group of six where many ordered something different and each of us was very pleased. Plus 2 trains passed while we were there! I'll definitely be back when the weather gets warmer so I can sit outside.

Went there yesterday for a friend's b-day. Food and Drinks were plentiful, and our server, Vicky, was absolutely fantastic during our 3-hour stay ;-)

Placed a carryout order with a wait of 30 minutes. Got there to pick it up and didn’t get the food until a whole hour after calling it in. Had to pull teeth to get someone to check on my order, since the staff will ignore you otherwise. Had to ask three times about the status of my order before the only nice waitress finally brought it out. Wondering if it was a race thing, but who knows. Won’t be coming back to experiment. The “popular” fried chicken was also super mid, and parking sucks.

My husband and I tried this restaurant based on the great reviews we read about. We thought we found a hidden gem but we were sadly mistaken and very disappointed. We sat ourselves (per the sign at the front door), waited patiently for a waitress and when one finally came over she asked if we wanted a menu. There clearly weren’t any on the table. That was one of the the times our waitress spoke to us. We waited a very long time for our food and when it finally came out the sides were incorrect and it was room temperature at best. My meatloaf was luckily pretty good but my husband’s cat fish was RAW. Once we were done eating we waited 20-30 minutes just to get the check. Our waitress didn’t pay any attention to us and at one time sat down at another table to eat. A nice gentleman finally stopped by to collect our plates. This is some of the worst service we have ever received at a restaurant. At least our waitress had the courtesy to comp the catfish on our bill once my husband made her aware that it was not cooked. Needless to say, we won’t be back.

First I want to say that I have never written a review before but I am so unhappy with my first experience here.My wife and I have lived close to this restaurant for 10 years or so. Tonight we decided to give it a shot. It is seat yourself which is fine but we weren’t acknowledged for more than 10 minutes. Once we placed our order, we got our food relatively quickly but then never saw our waitress again. My wife ordered meatloaf and had a baked potato as a side. It didn’t come with butter or sour cream. Not a big deal but I’m sure we could have gotten some if we saw our waitress. I order broiled catfish. Big mistake! I got two fillets and over half of each was still raw. It was cold, soft and sushi like. It didn’t flak like it should so I didn’t eat the raw parts. I don’t think we will come back here again.

I wish I could say that this is my favorite spot for good southern fried chicken, but truthfully it is very often too salty.

It pains me to write this review, but I thought I would let people know about the decline of the food and service (though no fault of the service staff). We have been going to this place for years, and yes, the food has been great most of the time, and the service depends on how busy they are. We go about once a week. In the past several weeks, we have noticed a significant decline in the food quality. The meals have been cold, and meats (chicken, steak, salmon) have been overcooked and dry. In one case, my wife ordered the chicken tender salad, and the tenders came out raw. I decided to write this review because of our visit on 1/24/24 for dinner. My wife ordered the salmon with fries and a side salad. I ordered the steak with mashed potatoes with gravy and cole slaw. My wife's salmon was significantly overcooked and dry, and cold fries. My steak was extremely dry and tough; the mashed potatoes and gravy were ice cold. I hesitated to order them because I have yet to have them come out hot, but I wanted to try again. They are incredibly understaffed as they have one waitress for the entire side of the restaurant, which was completely full primarily due to a large party (I counted 16 people) occupying one of the three sections on that side of the restaurant. There have been large dinner parties the two times we have been to Hershey's. I am not sure why people think this is a place for a party of more than ten people, as the restaurant's size is not conducive to large parties. Lastly, the menu has not been updated for several years, and they never have specials. The management needs to add new items to the menu or start having specials again. Also, staff the dinner time with more than one waitress. It will be a long time until we go back again.Parking: Very limited when busy.

The staff were all very nice and welcoming. The food was MUCH better than expected. I read a fee reviews before we went and it sounded like a place with good food laid back atmosphere, and they were exactly right.I ordered the "skillet" with chicken tenders, mashed, corn, gravy, and a sprinkle of cheese....it was one of the best meals I've had at a restaurant in a while. My sons ordered the patty melt and the hickory burger. Both burgers were pretty big portions. .y son that ordered the patty melt could only eat 1/2. The cut of the fries is unique, almost like a thin steak fry and soooo good.
