The food is good and yummy. Only the valentine special cake is disappointing. Hope their regular menu dessert doesn't taste like this.

Specifically ask for 2 orders of Birria tacos but they decided to give me regular tacos instead and said they don’t have any. It’s located next to cemetery not megamart

Overall I would not recommend La Canchita.I liked El Paso. I couldn't judge Mexico Puebla.La Canchita was the 3rd & last food truck in front of DMV Gaithersburg on Monday April 12th.I ordered at 11:20 am after also ordering similar items from the 2nd truck called El Paso. The solo worker at the 1st truck named Mexico Puebla did not pay attention so I did not order there.Hardly any customers around the 3 food trucks at this time.La Canchita service was extremely slow- about 30 minutes with one cook. The order at El Paso took about 15 minutes with 2 cooks. The pupusas & platanos at La Canchita were better than El Paso. The Lingua Sopes were not good.El Paso's was much better. The pupusas here did not come with cole slaw or condiments which El Paso gave. The platanos here did not come with sour cream or beans but were greasier & sweeter than El Paso which were firmer & nicely presented.

This place is amazing. Food is authentic and delicious, great ambiance, interesting menu compared to your typical Latin joint. One of my favorite places to go!

Very slow service. Waitress was slow to come get order, appetizers came out first after a long wait .. meals came out one at a rime, with long waits in between the next .. meaning people who had meals got cold while waiting for others to be able to eat. The musicians are good, however they are so loud you can't have conversation while they play. The place wasn't even that full so there really didn't seem to be a need for the delay.

Definitely a neighborhood gem! Make sure to try the pupusas. They have quite the selection and they are very affordable. The restaurant is very accommodating with large parties. Thursday night is mariachi night. Very entertaining! Stop by!

Delicious pupusas, tamales, and sopas! My only slight criticism was the curtido that comes with the pupusas is rather salty and it is less tart than other curtidos I have tried at other pupuserias. We were stuffed and unfortunately couldn't order more. We plan to go back to explore other items on the menu. Be aware though, this is not a Mexican restaurant. The large menu features other Central American countries, which is a refreshing change. The space is large with high ceilings, yet homey. We were there on a Saturday night and there was live music. Definitely recommend!
