We went there yesterday.
As soon as they opened which was 11am
The food was supposed to be hot
Everything fresh right.
The food was cold and old
My son ended up throwing up 🤮 last night
Because of that old food they had!
Everything seen clean yes
But the food was old.

Good option for buffets, ample variety of seafood, chicken, beef, lamb.
Be prepared to go empty stomach as there is so much food to relish from soup to salads, fruits, to starters to deserts.

One of the greatest buffet experiences in the area can be found at Lu Buffet & Grill, located at 218 N Frederick Ave., Gaithersburg, MD. The eating area greets you as soon as you enter and is spotless, roomy, and exquisitely kept, with a cozy and welcoming ambiance. The team makes sure that visitors are comfortable and well-cared for during their stay by being amiable, considerate, and always willing to help. With a vast array of foods to suit every palate, the cuisine selection is excellent. Everything is made with a focus on flavor and freshness, from expertly grilled meats and a variety of hot meals with Asian influences to fresh seafood like shrimp, crab legs, and sushi.
The dessert area, which offers cakes, fruits, and ice creams that are the ideal way to cap off a substantial dinner, is just as lovely as the salad bar. The consistency and quality of the food at Lu Buffet & Grill is one of its best qualities. In contrast to many buffets, the food is constantly restocked, guaranteeing that each dish is hot, tasty, and fresh. A great feature that provides a more intimate dining experience is the grill area, where you may have your cuisine prepared to order.
You get a lot of options and delicious food at a very affordable price, making it a great value for the money. It's a terrific place for special occasions as well as informal dining, whether you're visiting with family, friends, or coworkers. All things considered, Lu Buffet & Grill provides the ideal balance of diversity, flavor, and friendliness. Strongly suggested for anyone in Gaithersburg seeking a fulfilling buffet experience!

Affordable food, we always go for lunch. We always love the food. Sometimes, the servers just get grumpy. Please try to be friendly and smile.

Food was great, they have pho and sushi which automatically wins for me. My problem is the staff act like they don't want to be there. I wish the service, specifically the front staff and waiters, could improve on their attitude.

Man, don’t listen to the bad reviews. This place is great. One of the best buffets I’ve been to. Food is fresh. Service is good enough. And price is excellent for the amount of options. I’ve gone almost every Saturday since the first time

The service at this restaurant has been consistently poor. After 10-15 minutes, the servers often seem to prompt me to leave by dropping the cookie. The only time I've received decent service is when I've placed cash on the table, indicating a potential tip. Even then, I've had to ask multiple times for drink refills.

Unfortunately, my last visit resulted in foodborne illness. While I enjoy their fried shrimp, the quality is inconsistent. The dish often arrives cold, and when there is a replacement, the new shrimp are sometimes mixed with the old ones.

To improve, I think the restaurant should focus on training their servers to provide better service and ensuring consistency in food quality. This would greatly enhance the overall dining experience.i doubt they care to do that as this is a hot spot in the area

Save your money!

Food was either okay or bad. Nothing was good in terms of taste or quality. Left both of us feeling sick. God save you if your brave enough to eat the fish

Server was rude and asked for a money tip.

Has the same atmosphere as a Chuck E Cheese. Radio pop music played loudly, no ambience all.

Would not recommend! Went here on a Friday night and the food was terrible , lukewarm and the service SUCKS ! If they close at 10 and your still there by 9 o clock they will turn the tv off and mop all around you and under your table while your eating . Plus the server had an attitude . I been serving for 10 years and I would never did anything they did last night. I would rather go out Virginia like I been doing . Wanted to give them a chance BUT NEVER AGAIN ! How your food already nasty and your server has a nerve to have an attitude . If you don’t like your job FIND A NEW ONE . I don’t get it

When my wife and I arrived at Lu Buffet & Grill, the spread looked promising. There was a lot of food to choose from, so we paid $29.95 and sat down expecting a good meal. That’s where the problems started.

My first plate had plantain, imitation crab, and orange chicken. My wife grabbed some short ribs. Every single item we tried was either cold, hard, or completely inedible. The plantain was tough and flavorless, the ribs were stone cold, and the orange chicken was the same.

I gave it another chance at the hibachi station, thinking fresh-cooked food would be better. Wrong. I asked for garlic, and what I got was food so overpowered with garlic that my mouth and breath were ruined for the entire day. My wife wouldn’t even kiss me after.

To make things worse, our server noticed our uneaten food and told us, ā€œYou eat or you pay more,ā€ then kept hovering over the table asking if we were finished. By that point we had had enough. We didn’t want to pay another cent for food this bad, so we left as quickly as possible, hoping not to be chased out the door.

Even looking at the buffet, it was clear things were unsafe. Fried rice was piled ridiculously high, and you could tell it was cold — which is a serious health code violation since hot foods must be kept at safe temperatures.

Save yourself the time, money, and stomachache. Go to IHOP, or literally anywhere else in this plaza. This place is a disaster and I’ll never be back.

Waitress poured lemonade into a jar from cups of customers that left and proceeded to serve it to mother. They also chased us down when we left no tip since the waitress ignored us when we asked for more drinks.
