Neal’s bagels is a true gem. My family and I consider bagels from Neal’s a weekend staple, to the point that the staff now recognize me when I walk in to pick up my order. As a former Brooklynite I can say without hesitation that the bagels from Neal’s not only hit the mark, but that they outshine every other bagel I have had in the DC area. Any time we have visitors from New York, I’m always excited to treat them to Neal’s. I sincerely look forward to many many years of bagels from Neal’s whether everything with chive, cinnamon raisin with plain, savory lox, outstanding breakfast sandwiches, the occasional challah, and sometimes chocolate chip bagels and Nutella when the sweet tooth strikes.

We moved recently from the NYC area where bagels are a staple of weekend breakfasts and standards are high. We had a house full of people visiting, so we wanted to grab bagels and pastries for Sunday brunch before everyone left. We ordered ahead the night before and were able to pick up the food earlier than our scheduled pick up. The place was super busy for such an early hour but the staff was friendly and attentive and we got our order quickly.

The bagel selection and other options were great overall and there was something to satisfy everyone. I especially liked the ability to choose whether to scoop out some of the inside of the bagels, as I didn't feel the need to take a nap later on in the day from all the carbs, albeit delicious ones. This is usually an option only when you are in-store, so being able to do so online is always a welcome one. The overall quality was excellent, with all of our orders (10 in total) being correct and everything served hot and fresh. We got a few muffins in addition to the bagels and those were a hit as I didn't even get to try one.

With such a positive first experience, this will definitely be our go-to bagel place in the future.

Inexpensive, but kinda slow for mediocre bagels. Not bad, but left us wanting more.

Location here is much bigger than old one but not as nostalgic. There is now limited seating though. The most exciting thing is there is an expanded menu and new items -COLD BREW!

Half of the ingredients for my bagel sandwich were only on one side. It was pretty boring unfortunately. In the bathroom, the toilet was covered in old dried urine. Pretty gross

I waited there 20 minutes waiting to be acknowledged and they stared directly at me too. Still silence! Just walked out
