We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Royal Tandoor and had a wonderful experience. The food was definitely the best Indian food we have had in the Gaithersburg area, the service was excellent and the atmosphere very pleasant. We’ll be back for sure!
The best chaat Place in my eatery list. Must try their "ROYAL CHAAT". One of the best place to have Indian food.

Royal Tandoor Indian Restaurant is a nice place known for great food and awesome service. Guests love the gorgeous vibes and atmosphere, feeling like royalty in the elaborate decor that resembles a palace, with gold accents and oversized chairs. The servers provide attentive service, making every dining experience special. The menu offers delicious options like Dahi ki Tikki, Veg Manchurian, samosas, lamb chop, royal butter chicken, lamb vindaloo, a variety of kabobs, chili chicken, roti, garlic naan, mango lassi, and a fried doughnut in cinnamon sugar syrup for dessert. The restaurant serves naan bread on the buffet in a tray, and guests can enjoy two desserts, gulab jamun and saffron Kheer, with the latter being especially flavorful. Takeout boxes are available for the same price as the buffet (20$/person weekday). Popular dishes include tandoori chicken, goat biriyani, and the sharabi tawa combo, which features dark meat chicken, lamb cubes, and shrimp cooked in thick Masala and set on fire with whisky at the table. The portions are large, and the food is authentic and flavorful, with great attention paid to texture and appearance. The extensive drink selection includes the out of this world Raazia Sultan cocktail. The weekday lunch buffet, with options like goat curry, tandoori chicken drumsticks, pani puri, saag paneer, and desserts like gulab jamun and mango halwa, makes this restaurant a top choice for Indian cuisine in the area. Guests are greeted warmly, and many return to celebrate special occasions, often bringing friends and family to enjoy this delightful gem.
