I can't recommend Spilled Milk enough. From the start they were extremely helpful and professional. I worked with Jill and no matter how many questions or emails I bothered her with she always responded and was happy to assist! Our tasting was free and delicious, and they packed up so much extra food for us to take home. From just the tasting and initial consult with Jill we knew we wanted to book with Spilled Milk. Along with Select, they were extremely helpful when we went to pick out all our linens and table settings, and I felt so at ease knowing they would handle our day. If you want your food to be remembered on your wedding day then Spilled Milk should be the only choice of caterer. Heather was helpful from the very beginning giving us so many ideas that we never would have thought about. She also answered every question we had no matter how small. She was so patient during the linen selection process as we changed our minds a million times. We knew after the tasting that the food was going to be phenomenal (everyone keeps talking about it!) but we had no idea how amazing the service was going to be day of. The catering team we had day of was incredible. All the tables were beautiful, the guests loved the service at dinner, and the bartenders were so amazing. Misha in particular went above and beyond to make all our guests feel so special during the night by being so kind while getting drinks. From beginning to end, Spilled Milk handled everything and I did not have to worry about anything the day of thanks to them.

We worked with Spilled Milk Catering for a recent large retreat, and they did not disappoint! From start to finish, the team was organized, professional, and proactive.

Zia, our team lead for both the load-in and event day, was fantastic. She ensured the room setup and presentation were perfect, making everything look polished and ready for guests to arrive. Jan, our captain, was equally attentive. He made sure breakout rooms on another floor were stocked with water, kept everything running smoothly, and even noticed when I hadn’t had a chance to eat, bringing me a plate himself. When a chair was accidentally moved during the session, he quickly replaced it without interrupting the speaker.

It was also wonderful to meet our contact, Steven, in person. He was on-site that morning to make sure his team was set and that everything kicked off smoothly.

Their attention to detail and genuine care for guests and organizers alike made the entire experience seamless. I highly recommend Spilled Milk Catering for any event where professionalism and hospitality are essential.

As a wedding and event planner, I work with many caterers, and Spilled Milk Catering stands out as one of the very best. Luis and Emilie were our on site points of contact for a Meridian House wedding on September 27, 2025, and they were phenomenal.

Their communication was prompt and clear from the start of the wedding through final breakdown. They led their team with calm professionalism, kept service flowing smoothly, and made the guest and vendor experience excellent. They were flexible, focused on solutions, and true partners to the entire vendor team. I was so impressed that I have already requested to work with Luis and Emilie again for another Meridian House wedding next October. I highly recommend Spilled Milk Catering.

This place is so incredibly unprofessional. I reached out to numerous catering options in the DMV and the process (or lack there of) with Spilled Milk was such a waste of time.

I reached out to them in August and filled out a very lengthy questionnaire per their request. On 8/28, when I had not heard back, I reached out and they said they would be “sending over a proposal in reference to my vision….we appreciate your patience.”

Though I reached out multiple times afterwards, I never received a proposal or any follow up.

…Until today, one month later, stating that “it has been insanely busy here! (Yay and yikes!)” and that “ she just going over the event calendar, but I fortunately that date is closed due to max capacity.” So unprofessional.

Spoiler: I already hired someone else but the 3 others I spoke with were infinitely more professional, organized, and easy to work with.

We used Spilled Milk for our wedding at Larz Anderson House in May of this year. The food was great - many guests complimented us on the churrasco and the team took the time to create a detailed menu that perfectly reflected what we wanted. The service was also great. Just as the team finished setting up our tables and chairs outdoors, a massive rainstorm hit and they were all running outside in the pouring rain to put out tarps and move the ceremony inside. We still got to have dinner outside and nothing was even wet - I don't know how they pulled it off!

I took off one star for attention to detail. The edits we made in our final walkthrough were not incorporated. and our planner had to run to the nearest liquor store during our wedding dinner because of it. Also, my husband and I did not get to enjoy our cocktail hour appetizers. Apparently a waiter left a plate for us on a table somewhere but no one said anything to us about it. By the time we finished taking pictures, all the hors d'oeuvres were gone which was disappointing. Also, one wedding planner we interviewed said the quote we got from Spilled Milk seemed rather high, though we didn't end up getting other quotes so I can't confirm that.

This company is not very responsive. I was also promised a quote weeks ago and still have not received it. I would not recommend this company.

Spilled Milk is a guarantee. Our wedding was incredible, and I can't say enough good things about the process or the day. Dealing with Heather was particularly rewarding. We had so many questions and concerns... her demeanor and professionalism were the warm blanket we needed. She is extremely good at what she does and leaves no worries on your plate.Highly recommend this person and this caterer!

Spilled Milk did an excellent job catering my nonprofit's Annual Benefit. Steven and Emma were very friendly, professional, and accommodating in the months leading up to the event, and they made sure that everything went smoothly on the day of.

Spilled Milk Catering is simply the best - from the food, to the service, to the preparations. Steven Perez in particular catered two parties for me, on an almost moment’s notice, and meticulously oversaw every detail. He even made adjustments to the beverages and hightops 24 and 48 hours before the event. Everyone who attended raved about the food and service. Spilled Milk did the catering for my reception at The Lars Anderson House. It was such a wonderful event for and everything from the food to the servers, table decor to the dinnerware was absolutely perfect.

It was even better than I had imagined, and I still have guests asking about how we chose you for our special day. The appetizers were a huge hit with both the younger and older guests, and everyone was raving about how delicious everything was.
