We loved this place, but after today we may never come back. Not sure why but our barman was more attending to everyone just not to us. We speak English, but between each other we speak Polish. It was not an issue so far in this place, but today it felt like we were intruders. He was ok at the beginning, but once we started speaking polish between us, he totally abandoned us. But we did speak English to him and any other people in the restaurant. I totally understand he was busy, but he treated everyone else so different compare to us,and had so much more time to tend to other people compare to us.

Horrible experience at the bar Friday around 7pm. The bartender ignored us for over 5 minutes while he chatted with waiters. He finally waited on us and was extremely rude. We ordered an appetizer which took forever to arrive. He then pushed the check in front of us never asking once how everything was or even saying thank you… this guy should not be working there. Part of the experience, for a guest at the bar, should be a pleasant bartender who treats people, who are spending their hard earned money, with respect. I can’t believe this place would have someone like that representing their bar patrons…

Excellent octopus appetizer. Great gyro and other meals. Very friendly staff. Yes, I noticed that some say it is expensive and I agree ($200 for 3 persons) but definitely worth it for my 80th birthday.

I enjoyed dinner at Vasili's on Friday, June 13 with friends who live in the area, and it was wonderful! The restaurant was really crowed, we enjoyed a beautiful evening on the patio while we waited for our table, the wait wasn't too long. The food was delicious, the crew was great! Atmosphere received 4 stars out of 5 because of the noise level, but Vasili's was packed! Yay! So don't let the noise level deter you from visiting. Enjoy!
Flavorless Greek salad— rescued only by the feta and herbs. Not like a real Greek salad— no green peppers, scant olive oil, few olives. The tomatoes (which make up the bulk of the salad) were FLAVORLESS. Take this review from a native.

Just celebrated my 60th with family and friends in the private dining room. What a night! Jackie was amazing and helped the evening run smoothly and ensured no hand was without a delicious cocktail. Matt helped us set the whole night up and made sure everyone enjoyed themselves. The food was delicious from appies, to mains, to dessert…all top-notch! Great spot for a date night or small private party. Thanks Vasilis!

Hidden gem in the Kentlands. Food, cocktails, service and atmosphere were amazing. I ate the food before I could take a picture because it was so good. The decor is contemporary Mediterranean and the restaurant was spotless. Classics like Sinatra and Dave Brubek were playing. Great place for business or lunch date.

This is my 4th time coming to this restaurant and all other times the experience was wonderful, but coming in tonight for a birthday in my family left a lot to be desired.
I love the food here, even with some recent raises in prices I find it worth it for all my favorite dishes.
The service today was what really let us down. We let them know at the front that we had a birthday and they said they would do something special. After that we met our waitress who was cold and unwelcoming and only checked in on us once throughout the meal (with no enthusiasm, might I add). After the very nice other waitstaff cleared our table, she brought us the bill and dropped it off barely saying anything and we left with no birthday celebration or even mention, and a subpar experience overall because of this service. It was a very slow night so I would not attribute the mishaps to a busy workload.
We really enjoyed coming to this restaurant in the past so I am hoping that this was just a fluke but it was incredibly disappointing for what we wanted to be a fun, special night.
