Like this place nice chill atmosphere and good food. During the summer the outdoor bar is jumping.

Fresh and tasty seafood - good selections too. The crab chowder is to die for. It a nice waterfront restaurants next to West River Yacht Harbour. I wish they have Tesla EV charger though. Would be a great place to stop and get good food /drinks while waiting for the car to 'charged up'. The owner should think about this addition for extra revenue since I saw many Tesla while I was in the area but there was no charging station.

Very well located dockside restaurant. Food was only fair with much of the seafood overcooked. Staffing seemed inadequate, staff were nice, but service was slow. Drinks were made by the waitstaff and not very good.

Pirates Cove Restaurant offers delicious seafood, pasta and salads in a beautiful waterside setting. Management & staff are friendly and accommodating. Interior was recently renovated and patio spaces are inviting in warm weather.

Small update for 3/22/24: Pirate's Cove is undergoing some interior renovations. The bulk of the work is done, right now they are buttoning a few things up. The back bar has been expanded and opens up into the back dining room. The dining area up front is now closed off and labeled as a "lounge" area. The lounge has a bar in it but you can apparently be seated there for regular dining. The lobby is more open now as well. The menu has not changed...the original review is posted below and still stands.Original review: The food and atmosphere here are pretty good...the waterfront view of the West River is nice and the dining area is pretty nice, though if it gets busy in there it can be a bit noisy. The menu is focused on seafood but does offer some chicken, red meat, and pasta dishes. Soups are limited - I only noticed 2 crab soups and gazpacho (which really just seems like crushed tomatoes with cucumber pieces and seasonings) on the menu. The calamari appetizer is good; large rings that are battered, subtly seasoned, and deep fried to a nice golden brown. They taste very good and are served with a warm marinara sauce. The various entrees all look good; be sure to ask about the daily specials as there always seems to be something different on special. I've had something different each time I've been here and haven't been let down. The only issue we've ever had was with a salmon dish that initially came out undercooked...they just threw it back on the grill and then it came out burnt.Pricing is a bit on the high side here. Many of the entrees are closer to the $30 mark, but they do have a few that are under $20. Expect to pay at least $50 or more for 2 people when coming here for dinner. If a couple gets drinks, appetizer, soups, and entrees, you could hit the $100 mark very easily. In summary, the food is good but given the prices, it's more of a "once in a while" place to go for the average diner.

Service was great, food was delicious but the noise was horrible. Visited on Friday evening for reservations at 6:30. Table was not ready. Staff was really nice and friendly and appreciated me waiting. We could barely hear the band with the talking. Very very very loud! I ordered the fish and chips-was really good! My server was so nice and friendly-I tipped 30 percent! Got home and looked at final receipt to scan in, they have a small disclaimer at the bottom that all patrons paying by card will be charged a 3 percent fee! Md residents are taxed to death! With large alcohol tax and food tax, charging customers 3 percent is unacceptable. What a rip off. People don't have to eat at Pirates Cove-should absorb CC fees because of the volume of business. I should have charged them for a migraine from the loud noise! I won't be back!

Wonderful wait staff and always-fresh meals. With warmer weather, try to go midweek. Reservations recommended.
