My boyfriend and I were SO excited to have stumbled upon this hidden gem of a place we have been going together frequently i’d say maybe going on about a year now. Sushi was amazing the staff were really friendly up until recently. They have a new lady there with whom i’ve interacted with twice now and each time I just felt like a bother to her. First time I tried to order a roll my boyfriend and i really enjoy and she ran over to the kiosk to stop me and offer me some sushi they had made up in the case. Which I was fine with… I’ve worked in food service and it seemed to me maybe the person rolling may have been on lunch and I didn’t know how long id be waiting so I purchased what was there and left.
This most recent time really hurt my feelings though. I was with my boyfriend he pre-ordered over the phone for us as a little surprise it was great… Until we asked for an extra pair of chopsticks assuming one was already in the bag and without even really glancing up she kind of scoffs and says “it’s in the bag”. We open the bag and there was a delicious roll in there but, no chopsticks unfortunately… you can call me rude but I turn the bag upside down to show her there was nothing in there. Then we are angrily given a napkin and chopsticks no eye contact and we go about our day still thanking her of course. I can understand the frustrations but man.

Love the grab and go here. Today I was hungry and the sushi summoned me. I tried a new roll, tuna/jalapeno/Cilantro and it is so good! Prices are reasonable and the guy is really nice. California rolls are fantastic. The crab meat they use is different than usual and my son and I both prefer it over other California rolls. Highly recommend!

Excellent gem in Germantown. Moon is a fabulous sushi chef. A long time ago, he was at Sakura and now has opened his own place. The sushi is delicious. The rolls are amazing. The price points are well under normal places. Great variety. Incredible service. Def check them out!

Finally found a solid go to sushi spot in Germantown. This restaurant is located inside the New Grand Mart food court and has just recently opened. Ordered the $70.00 sushi platter which totally exceeded all of our expectations. The quality of the food was exceptional and it was absolutely delicious. In addition, we were also impressed with the prices..... really good value. Definitely recommend you stop by and check this place out.
This is a fantastic hidden gem. OMGoodness, the Diamond Roll is a masterpiece of delicious, filling freshness full of flavor. The Philly Roll was my daughter’s favorite, made in perfect proportion of ingredients. The Ikura sashimi is firm, salty and has a depth of color and flavor we’ve not experienced before but will return for. Kindest service to top it off.I can’t figure out how to attach a picture which is a shame. It was beautiful artistry, all of it but especially the Diamond Roll.

Sushi Friends is one of my favorite places to dine at because of their affordable prices and friendly service! I truly love how caring and attentive the people are and they truly put their heart and soul into their food. I had one of their grab-n-go sushi and it was pleasantly satisfying and fresh! You need to try them. Right inside of New Grand Mart grocery store (and plus they have a bubble tea shop right next door!!!!)

Please note: This is inside of the New Grand grocery store food court.We decided to try this new place and we're glad we did! We ordered the fried purple sweet potato roll, the standard Philly roll, the Mexican roll, and the Godzilla roll. All of them were fresh, high quality, and delicious. We went around 5 and it wasn't busy at all. We only waited maybe ten minutes for a to go order. Definitely recommend.
Vegetarian options: They do offer six different vegetable rolls, including a fried purple sweet potato roll, a pickled radish roll, and squash roll.
