Came here for dinner with family to celebrate a birthday. The buffet and the menu items were all the same and the food was tasteless. Waitresses were very pleasant to talk with but once our meals were served no one ever returned to the table until we were finished eating. My opinion the food was horrible! Seems like you’re eating frozen food from a grocery store that has been reheated. Would not recommend spending the money just to be disappointed. This was the second visit figuring they may have had a bad day but it just got worse

Nice place to visit, neat shops, buffet was tasty, but didn't seem to me that the price was worth the selection of food. Maybe was there on an off day.

The buffet was 22.99 was not worth it. The grave needed change!! The fruit was out of a can . The baked goods were not baked goods!! Not much too offer in drink.selection.and the chicken was so dry ! It was a pityful will never come badly rather go to castle man restaurant! That kind of money for garbage food beans were like rubber . Vet disappointed for that kind of money. People just don't say anything but they were whispering . And that are right maybe other stupidity ones come early when it's fresh. But I'm telling u it wasn't fresh !! U do not put fresh stuff over old go d that's been sitting there God I wished I would have taken pictures and the. Bake goods are not fresh baked goods u'll go to a Chinese restaurant and not underestimate my intelligence. Won't. Be back I won't recommend the end of it. We didn't even leave a tip that's how much we were discussied this was our third time

My brother and I took our mother out to lunch for her 84th birthday. My brother's Reuben sandwich had little meat, and he actually had to look to see if there was Swiss cheese on it. My cabbage rolls were cold in the center. I did not send my food back since no one came to check up on us in a reasonable time. We both had salads from the salad bar. Within fifteen minutes after eating, both of us needed to run to the bathroom. We suspect something was spoiled on the salad bar.

What a gem! My husband and I were in our way back to Virginia and found this place on Google maps. They have a buffer and main menu options. We went with the latter and it was so good! We had a Reuben sandwich and Deep fried Shrimps. You had an access to the salad bar ordering an Entree and it is BIG! A huge variety of veggies, dressings, beans & pickled vegetables. We loved the Swiss room on a sunny day.

Set in the pristine hills of Grantsville, Maryland, Penn Alps is a welcoming, well‑kept focal point for art and community. The drive is scenic no matter which route you take. Inside, there’s ample seating with cozy, rustic furniture crafted by local artists, spotless restrooms, and a fantastic gift shop filled with handcrafted pieces. The dining room includes both a spacious hall and a quiet nook with large picture windows—perfect for unwinding and escaping the everyday rush. The food is truly home‑cooked, with a generous buffet featuring meats, fish, salads, soups, desserts, and ice cream, plus an à la carte menu for those who prefer to order off the buffet, not to forget outstanding warm and friendly service. Beyond the meal, there’s plenty to explore: the adjacent artisan village showcases the talents of local artists (get to meet world famous Bird-Man) some of whom have become dear friends over my visits. Whenever my schedule allows, I escape here for the drive, the food, the art, and the warm atmosphere—there simply aren’t enough words to capture how special this place feels.
