I ate here based on a high recommendation from someone I’m connected to on social media ? the decor was spot on like a down south restaurant from back in the days when things were simple...the focus was definitely on the food!! My family ate here together several times as well as making special trips for occasional carryout orders.I called just a few minutes ago and to my surprise another business is there. I’m glad that they kept the same phone number so the new business can still thrive, especially in this uncertain time that✨I look forward to traveling (to another state) to someday taste Gus’ chicken again, marinated in just enough spices and fried up lightly plus served with a slice a white bread?{MabelsChicken.com is where you can see the menu of the restaurant that now occupies the space. Surprisingly good find in an unlikely place. Had a fantastic food. I will try and make the stop to try the more foods.

Best chicken I have ever had in my almost 50 years of life! BUT, I have called them 2 separate occasions so far to try to place an order for pickup. Both times young lady put the phone down and I can hear them in the back ground and they keep me on the phone for 10-15 minutes to stop getting calls for more orders. And I know they are not busy. the phone is right next to the register I am done. this was my favorite place to get chicken. NEVER AGAIN! the last incident happened 6/25/2020 from 1204pm to 1220pm.

The chicken is good if you're lucky enough to order within whatever window they are open. I can tell you that 6:45pm on a Thursday is too late to place a pick up order. Ridiculous.

Tasty food. My favorite was the fried pickles! They are open for takeout and delivery. I called them directly to place my takeout order. They stop taking orders 30 minutes before closing.

Great food and huge portions.

First time at Gus's. Wow, very good chicken. The fries are also delicious.

Wonderful place, amazing customer service and even more amazing chicken!! The manager even gave us the background on the family behind the chicken! The restaurant was spotless and everyone working was like a family. We will definitely be back and tell our friends!

Wonderful fried chicken, beans, Cole slaw & chess pie. Clean bathrooms, great music & casual ambiance.

I love places that keep a solid menu focused on doing one thing well. You can order fried chicken. It comes with some simple sides. Maybe some chess pie for dessert. It's all executed excellently.

Best place to get something when in a rush. The service is speedy, prices are fair, fantastic character. I highly recommend this place

Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken is one of my favorite restaurants for having Chicken foods. Their special recipes include Fried Pickle Spears, Piece Dark, Piece White, etc. A friendly place for kids and family members. There are Takeout Facility.
