Over the past year the bakery has consistently gone downhill ! They ran out of donut boxes months ago, and are now using the small plastic containers that do not hold a dozen. Donuts are rarely out before 8am. The company I work for buys from this Safeway EVERY SINGLE DAY so we spend a lot of money there. Either management needs replaced or redirected. The only bright spot there is C.C., she ALWAYS makes sure something ( anything) is put out before 8am.....she is the only one that holds them accountable. But, even she needs a day off or vacation and she has not been there the past few days....and it really shows. She should be the manager over the bakery. If this issue is not resolved soon....we will be taking our business elsewhere. I will be contacting the corporate/district office as well.

The Safeway in Greenbelt Maryland STILL sells pre-packaged cakes which are in shiny hard plastic containers and are IMPOSSIBLE to open! I complained about this matter three years ago and NOTHING was done about it. That makes the bakery department a black spot on an otherwise excellent grocery store. For shame!

Empty shelves, few open checkouts, unhelpful/rude employees. Don't bother.

They only have 15 items or less cashiers lines open does not matter what day or time you go. I mostly go to giant now because it there are 2 customers in one line they open another line.
