The chef decided to toast my panini instead of pressing it , and it was weird because I eat there a lot , and then he decided to fix it and make me a new. One but he didn’t really he just reheated my panini instead and the prime rib inside was really hard , he also gave me refried fries so it was really oily burnt , very disappointing I usually go there 3 days a week , but I don’t think I will anymore because mistakes can happen but I didn’t like the way it was handled, specially all the game behind

We have been coming to this establishment for about 2 years. We have seen some staff members come and go, but always felt welcomed by all staff.

The food has never disappointed! Their chef knows what she is doing. I am not one to venture off on a menu, but I have at Del Sole! Everyone we bring here has enjoyed their meals and the service.

A big plus is their Rewards Program! It's always nice to save some money.

Love the food, the staff and the service! Outside eating area is awesome when the weather suits as well.

We did not feel welcome.

We were in Hagerstown for a skating performance, and it didnt get out til 830. Being several hours from home, we decided to get dinner in town. We arrived at Cafe del Sol around 9pm (they closed at 10.) We had a large group but there was literally no one else there.

Initially, we thought they were going to seat us in the dining area, as they started moving tables. But we were then shooed to the bar area instead. We had a group of 15, and they told us to split between the (high top) table and two wooden booths. Okay, it wasnt that big of a deal to be split up but a little annoying since they clearly had the space to seat us in the [more comfortable] lower tables in the dining area. I ended up standing the whole time as a result.

The worst part of our visit was feeling unwelcomed. No one smiled or was warm to us. It was obvious that they were annoyed we were there. We felt like we were imposing, even though they didnt close for an hour. Like, I get it, its dead all night, you wanna get out right at 10. But surely a party of 15 would warrant A LITTLE pleasantness.

They did perk up towards the end. Because we were trying to get out of there as quickly as possible and DID finish by 10.

The food looked good (I didn't actually eat any of it as there are a lot of things I cant eat and I didnt want to trouble them further with any alterations to the menu when it was so obvious they were unhappy we were there.) Everyone who did eat seemed to enjoy it.

I guess to sum it up, if youre going late, get takeout. Next time, we'll look elsewhere.

10NOV.2025 This is a true hidden gem in Hagerstown. The best customer service, delicious cocktails, superb beer and wine list, delicious food, amazing atmosphere.

There is another café del Sol on the north end of Hagerstown , it doesn’t even stand a chance to this spot.

I had an early dinner here, as I sat by the fire place; and it was magical and so zen. I ate the Cuban panini/sweet potato fries/sparkling cava/ hibiscus Aperol spritz. Absolute chef’s kiss.

Café del Sol – Hagerstown East is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels like a blend of upscale dining and relaxed comfort. The décor is beautiful, the tables are clean, and the vibe just makes you want to sit back and enjoy your meal.

The food is exceptional. Every dish we’ve tried has been fresh, flavorful, and prepared with real care. You can tell the team takes pride in what they serve from presentation to taste, everything is spot on. The portions are generous without sacrificing quality, and the menu has a great variety so it’s easy to find something you’ll love.

The service deserves its own praise. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely professional. Our drinks were never empty, every request was handled with a smile, and we never felt rushed. They strike the perfect balance of being present without hovering.

Whether you’re stopping in for lunch, dinner, or just grabbing something casual, this place consistently hits the mark. Highly recommend it’s easily one of the best spots in the area.

Really awesome lunch spot! I always have enjoyed the other Café del Sol on the other end of town so I was excited to try this newer spot and was not disappointed! The building is great, with a huge wrap around bar. They have the perfect lunch options, and their salads are amazing. I was really impressed with how much steak / bacon was on the Black & Bleu Salad. Cooked to perfection, this place definitely has all the flavors! You can find just about anything on their menu, surely something for everyone here. Prices are fair

I have been a fan of Cafe del Sol for some time. This is the first time I went to this location. The outdoor seating was wonderful on a warm early fall day. Our entrees were great, we got a couple different styles of tacos and they were juicy and Delicious.

We simply did not have room for dessert! The tacos were so filling I didn't feel the need to really eat dinner later that night.

We went slightly off lunch hours on a Saturday and there was plenty of room, and we were the only ones sitting outside. We really enjoyed it.

My wife ordered her favorite meal, the black and blue salad. The steak was tender, but few. There was two cherry tomatoes. Very little bacon and cheese. It was just disappointing.

This place was a great find! Such a lovely place—great atmosphere and nice patio too. Our waitress was attentive, the food was delicious (yum bao sliders!) and the prices were very reasonable. Going back!
