“27 February 2024Mary's Tex-Mex Grill in Hagerstown, MD is setup like a Subway sandwich restaurant so you can see your choices of ingredients through a glass partition. I could see the ingredients were fresh, and a steady stream of customers makes me think that there will be fresh ingredients every business day.I had a Barbacoa burrito bowl. Barbacoa is shedded beef that has been marinated for hours, and then thoroughly cooked; you can easily cut it with a fork. I chose Mexican (yellow) rice, black beans, cilantro, lettuce, and uncooked red onions to go into the bowl for a total of $10.99 plus tax. A large spoonful (like a soup ladle) of guacamole costs $1.99 extra. Fried Yuca root (kept in the kitchen; not on display) costs $2.99 for the smaller serving, and $5.99 for the larger serving. I was happy to eat a healthy meal here.”

“First time trying Silt today! Upon entering I was immediately greeted with smiling faces and happy attitudes. When I told them this is my first time they suggested I should try their special “Cupid Latte” which is so so good. Just the perfect amount of everything. They also gifted me my coffee on the house for it being my first visit, which I appreciate so much since I was already having a bad day. Genuine hearted people like this are so hard to come by in this world. I also tried their bacon egg and cheese and Mac and cheese as you can see I’m already crushing cause it’s amazing as well! Im so happy I stopped in here for a pick me up and I will be back very very soon. Thank you guys for such an uplifting experience today!”

“Wonderful little Thai place. On route to Canada. Just off I95. Stopped in about 1 1/2 hr before closing and was greeted with a smile. The 2 servers were super friendly and very attentive. Ordered delicious spring rolls and California rolls. Very generous portions.We also ordered 3 pho soup bowls. M3, m4, m5. All fantastic, also added extra veggies on soup. Lots of meat in soups and served with large plate of fresh bean sprouts, fresh basil, lime and hot peppers.Everything was excellent!!!! 3 ppl, less than $60.”

I was told at the nearby gym that I absolutely HAD to try this place and I'm here to tell you... They didn't lie!!! GET IN HERE!! They have the cutest lil spot to sit and people watch the parking lot while you eat also! Enjoyed my time here even more knowing that this benefits the lovely ladies in recovery in the local area. “Mission catered our wedding, and they definitely went above and beyond! We didn't just get rain on our big day...we got a whole MONSOON! Even though the rain and wind were insane, they showed up on time, set up quickly, and were super professional about the whole thing. All our guests raved about the food and were stoked to take leftovers home afterwards.”

Service was unfortunately quite subpar; I usually have a pre-meal cocktail then a glass of wine with dinner, but server had trouble with bringing the water I initially requested let alone being available for drink orders.”

“Based upon their review photos of a chicken dish, I decided to give this place a try today. I had the stew chicken with rice & beans, cabbage, plantains and sauce. Everything was delicious and the portions were very generous. Not too spicy, but not too bland either. That meal could easily have fed 2 people. I have walked by this place 100 times thinking it was just a coffee shop. I wish they had pictures of their signature dishes up on the wall to entice more customers. I hope this restaurant thrives so I can eat here every time we visit the mall.”

The service is excellent. The buffet is very good. The takeout servings from the menu are generous, and I typically have enough for a meal the next day. I also appreciate that they ask how spicy you want your dish. I opt for mild, and it's quite enough.”

“Antietam Brewery is our go to place! The atmosphere is always fun and relaxed and family friendly. From live music to game nights to 5Ks, they always have something for everyone. And not to mention that their beer selection is AMAZING and they have great food options as well.The bartenders are wonderful and remember us by name!You have to try Antietam Brewery!”

It was filled perfectly, no parts of the subs left without steak or cheese! He got his with fried onions, steak, American cheese and mayo only! You do have the option to have extras added but my fiancée likes his pretty simple.•I loved the Cuban panini! The portion was great for the price! It came with fries which are hand cut and fried fresh and they were salted perfectly. The Cuban was made with great quality ham, not the cheap ham that other restaurants in Hagerstown use on their Cubans (sorry not sorry) I got mine with the pickles on the side and no mustard! I really really wish they had a garlic mojito to dip it in or maybe garlic aoli to put on the actual sandwich!! It would really really elevate it and take the already delicious panini go the next level!• My fiancée and I also both agreed that they use pretty fresh ingredients so nothing we ate made us feel sick, sluggish or left us with our tummy's hurting! “Been coming here for over a decade. Possibly the best Sushi in Hagerstown. Can’t beat their lunch specials on sushi-rolls. Our favorites include spicy tuna, California, and asparagus/avocado, definitely try the Haru roll (tempura fried.) The peanut sauce on their salad is delicious, we also like their spicy mayo drizzle on our sushi (we opt out of fish eggs.) One star off for atmosphere due to their hibachi area being closed off and filled with boxes.”

“I wanted to give a review of my recent visit to Aleko’s. I don’t get there often, but have been going there for more than 10 years. The food has always been great. I did look at the other reviews before I went just out of curiosity.Called my order in and picked it up. Opened it up to munch on the fries on the way home. Realized I had a small cup of dressing for a large Greek salad and not much tzatziki sauce on the gyro. The meat was also well-done, not burnt.Went back to the restaurant and shared my concerns. They were very happy to fix all deficiencies and shared some suggestions to avoid misunderstandings. Very good advice.- Let them know how you want the meat cooked, well-done, barely warm or somewhere in between. We all have different tastes; we have no problem telling an order taker how we want our steaks cooked.- Check your order before you leave for completeness. We are all human and occasionally make mistakes.Reading over the other reviews I read some people complained the gyros weren’t even made correctly. You couldn’t pick it up to eat.We have so many different ethnic foods available to us and we say we like them, but we need to be honest, we do tend to “Americanize” them sometimes. The “in” thing now are bowl meals. Maybe Aleko’s is trying to get in on that too by the way they assemble the gyros. If you want it done ‘traditionally’ make sure they know that, order it that way.I will continue to support Aleko’s, I love their food. I have no problem giving specifics as to the way I want my food. “I was in the mood for a pastry this morning and looked up bakeries in the area. This place just happened to be the closest so I thought I would check it out. I had a strawberry cheesecake cookie and a croissant waffle. OMG that waffle was amazing. It’s was crunchy with just a touch of sweetness. I’m sad I only bought a small size. I will definitely be back. Next time I will try it with toppings. I ate the items too fast for a picture but will take one next time.”

The pizzas are delicious, and every pie is made with love and quality Ingrediants. My toddler is picky, but she always eats all of this pizza- crust included. Parking was difficult being that it’s on a one way street so I had to put money in the meters both times I went and walk a short distance to the place. As for my 2 visits to Bulls and Bears, their online menu wasn’t updated and reflected the old way of making brined chicken which was charbroiled. When I got it home I noticed it was fried chicken so I called to make sure they didn’t give my to go order away and give me someone else’s food and found out that the online menu wasn’t updated to show the new way they make it, but she said to come in and they would make it the old way for me since that’s how it was advertised and wow, that was the best chicken I ever had!!! Not sure if they’d do this by request again but if they would, I highly recommend trying it. It was so juicy and flavorful, mashed potatoes tasted real and broccoli was cooked just right. Excellent dinner and it was worth $22 for that meal. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it. Haha!”
