I had curry goat with jollof rice. So very good and tasty and they gave me a good portion in two big bowls, I played myself. I had no leftovers! Very good and worth the drive from West Va. ❤

Turns out the proprietor is from the same small town in Ghana that I taught… Half Assini. A true Nzema man! Everyone who walked through the door had a smile on their face. The place is magical …pumping Ghanaian music. Offers Fanta, or club or star or the foreign Guinness. I look forward to coming back many times.

Afrikico Best Taste of Africa is now a number one spot in Hagerstown. The restaurant is beautifully designed with beauty and comfort that comes from Ghanaian cuisine. It is very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Every dish has been mouth watering. The food is always fresh and hot. Customers have not had a bad experience or food that wasn’t good. The jollof rice with lamb and the oxtail stew with a side of fried plantains were very flavorful. The peanut butter soup is the best, not too peanut tasting with a perfect blend of spice and plenty of portions. It is very fresh and hot. The spinach stew was earthy and deeply satisfying, with a mix of meats like fish, lamb, and oxtail. The kenkey added a perfect acidic, slightly sour balance. The curried goat was also devoured. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing, with a selection of jazz afrobeats music and Christian music. The service is pleasant and eager to make guests feel welcome. What this place brings to Hagerstown is unique, creative, and absolutely delicious.
