My husband and I came into Cracker Barrel for dinner. Seth was our server and waited on us the entire time. I just wanted to let you know how friendly and attentive he was to us. Dinner was an especially great time meeting with Seth and he provided outstanding service. The food is always good at Cracker Barrel and Seth was a pleasant surprise. Looking forward to coming back and we will be requesting Seth again as our server.

Great food and plenty to fill your tummy up. The Pot Roast and Shrimp and Grits were fantastic.

My husband and I recently had Covid and decided to just get takeout from Cracker Barrel New Year’s Eve, at 4:00 pm. We ordered online. It was the absolute worse meal I have ever had there. My chicken was so hard and dry I couldn’t cut it. The mashed potatoes were the size of small serving spoon and a hard lump that I could pick up in its entirety with a fork and it didn’t move. Couldn’t even mash it down. The green beans were ok and the only thing I ate. That was always one of my favorite places to eat. Even added a tip when we ordered it so that shouldn’t be the reason for the bad meal. Just awful. I bet that would not have been served in the store

The Hashbrown Casserole Shepherd's Pie was a hearty and flavorful meal. The generous portioning, featuring large chunks of pot roast and mixed vegetables, was complemented by a creamy mashed potato base and a golden-brown, crispy hashbrown topping.
Since this was take-out I didn't get to experience the dining atmosphere.

I eat at the local Cracker Barrel and I have even bought items in the store. I always enjoy the food and the staff are very friendly.

They served beer in a can instead of a chilled glass. Food was canned. Not fresh. Service was not good as she kept forgetting everything

Order was wrong. Manager wouldn't give credit. May be our last visit to Cracker Barrel.

Ordered the chicken tenders and was very disappointed. In all honesty this was the only time I have not gotten anything but a delicious meal. All the side were good but the chicken tenders were very dry and hard to even eat.

My husband and I went there yesterday for lunch. We live an hour &1/2 from there and i started gettig achy on the way home. We didn't eat anything else after that. I threw up for a few hrs last night the worst part were the chills and joint pain I still have not slept from the pain. My husband has been throwing up for 12 hrs the diarrhea started around midnight. We are not sickly people but, we are seniors so last night and this morning have been hell.
He ordered the Fried Chicken dinner with 2 sides green beans and mac & cheese. I ordered the Chicken and French toast. If you plan on going there today. Actually that might not be such a good idea. We have never had this experience at a CB or any other restaurant. CB has always been our stop when traveling on the East Coast. I really hope this was a 1 time horrible deal.

Cracker Barrel is always a great place to eat regardless of where I'm at. The meatloaf was everything. My only suggestion would be to change the butter for the cornbread. That butter has too much sodium. I didn't even realize it said salted butter right on the package until after I bit into my cornbread. I took one bite and thought this sure does taste like salty cornbread. Then I looked at the butter package. It just ruined my taste for the bread. Since I have hypertension, if I bite into something and the first thing I taste is the sodium, then it's too much and should not be served in a restaurant if you care about the health of your customers.

HEADS UP!!!! Very disappointed past few times coming here. First, the food portions are laughable compared to the locally owned diners who give you real hefty portions! You have raised prices and lowered the amount of food and quality. No one offered biscuits or cornbread and if they do they bring very minimal. If two people have gravy in their order they bring one small bowl for you to share? Why assume I want to share my part of my order with the person I’m having a meal with? If both parties entree’s have gravy, then both paying customers should have their own bowl of gravy with their meal. This has happened multiple times/ multiple visits. Then if you order certain breakfast entrees and they give you an option of sample meats; bacon, sausage and ham and then give you an option to choose 1 meat instead of sampler… buyer beware!!! They will sneak in an upcharge of $1.00 for choosing for example, sugar cured ham (which we received country ham instead) but again they will upcharge you and NOT disclose that. Some may wonder why I might complain over $1.00, well if the server doesn’t tell you there is an upcharge after offering that as an option that is ON THEM. Paying these already high prices on these low portioned foods we should be told of said upcharge. Not to mention paying $3.39 for a cup of coffee!!!!! Why?!?! We were offered 1 time if we wanted a refill and that was only by the “manager” Nicole after complaining about this sneaky $1.00 upcharge for all ham vs. the sampler of meat. So I grabbed a menu and no where on the menu does it mention an upcharge. Nicole “manager” has the personality of a ROCK, was no help, No empathy and stumbled over her words not knowing how to explain the upcharge. Showing me another part of the menu where the ham costs more. But where I ordered from was an entirely different page on the menu. I then said, “so I’m suppose to cross reference the menu for correct pricing and so called upcharges within my meal I ordered”? No where and I mean NO WHERE in the menu does it mention an upcharge. She tries so hard in front of an entire line at the register to find her proof and she could not provide that proof. As I am there trying to reason some how for this upcharge several other paying customers were in line to complain as well! We talked to several different people in the lobby/store as well as outside in the parking lot on how terrible all of our experiences were. And we all have experienced something negative past few times coming here. And we gave it another try! No more. I’ll drive to Frederick or Chambersburg in hopes their location is operated better with more attentiveness and empathy from management. It’s a shame because Cracker Barrel use to be such a hit and bring such warmth and coziness that no other chain restaurant offers. I hope it’s not a sign of the entire chain heading this direction. Kudos to all the local diners in which we will continue to patron!
